Here is how it started. On Wednesday, Belle took a phone call at the pub and learned that Dominic Marino went to an exclusive boarding school, and that his roommate there was Dante. Sydney DiMera, who owes her job to Dante, said he had never mentioned knowing Dominic and did not see what the fuss was about. Marlena Evans did. Once Sydney was gone, she and Belle agreed it was hard to call it a coincidence that Dominic’s old roommate met Sami and proposed.

By Thursday, Belle had brought it to Chad DiMera. “I have a feeling that all of this is adding up to something life-changing that could affect all of us,” she told him. Then came the line that tells you everything about these two women and their long, bumpy history: “I love her. I just don’t want to see her get hurt.”

Let us be fair to the man. Dante has not been caught in a lie. Nobody has asked him about Dominic on screen, and he was not in the room for either conversation. He never mentioned the roommate, which is a long way from hiding him. What makes Belle nervous is where Dominic sits in this story. He is the reclusive billionaire who bought the Kiriakis mansion for cash, and his is the name at the end of the clue trail that dragged Belle and Chad through Italy. Is Sami Brady Still Engaged to Dante Vitali on Days of Our Lives?

Yes. As of Thursday, September 24, 2026, Sami is still engaged to Dante Vitali, and nothing on screen has changed that. Sydney told Roman last week that the two of them are still engaged. Sami herself is off screen, and her return has been taped for 2027. So she has no idea her family is picking her man apart.

Here is the piece nobody is talking about. When Philip walked into the emptied Kiriakis mansion on Monday, he pictured Victor’s missing portrait still glaring down at him. That dream lands in a strange week for her. The weekly preview reel shows Steve handing Marlena a copy of Dominic’s birth certificate, with Stefano DiMera listed as the father, and it cuts away before she reads another word. No Friday preview puts that scene on Friday.

Sarah Horton and Kayla Johnson put their heads together over the lawsuit hanging over Sarah, and both come away suspecting foul play. Gabi Hernandez and Philip Kiriakis decide their romance deserves another shot, which is a nice consolation prize for a man who just lost his house.
