TL;DR: Holly is recovering from arsenic poisoning on Days of Our Lives, but EJ DiMera doctored the water test, hid the Coriseal files, and framed her as a relapsed addict. Sarah and Brady are one thread from the truth.

The Poison Came From His Own Company

Days of Our Lives spoilers keep circling one ugly question this week, and the Holly poisoning cover up sits dead center. Holly Jonas is finally responding to treatment after arsenic nearly killed her, yet the man protecting the poison’s source is pouring himself a celebratory drink. EJ DiMera has spent two weeks erasing every scrap of proof, and so far it has worked.

The trail starts with Coriseal, the DiMera Pharmaceuticals drug already tied to two deaths in Salem. A tainted 2024 batch laced with arsenic was buried on Smith Island, and the contamination leached into the Horton cabin well. On July 2, EJ’s company man confirmed the water carried both arsenic and Coriseal. Holly was poisoned by a DiMera product at her family’s favorite getaway.

Sarah Horton and Brady Black connected those dots the honest way. Sarah lost a young patient to the same drug signature in June, and Brady traced the generic Coriseal straight back to DiMera Pharmaceuticals. By June 26 the pair stood in a hospital corridor saying it out loud, and EJ heard every word.

Rita, Stefano’s old secretary, handed EJ the paper trail, and his people went to work on the well, the files, and the story itself. The pattern has history, and the full Coriseal scandal backstory shows how deep the rot goes.

Johnny Planted the Book and His Father Burned the Rest

Here is where it gets truly rotten. Johnny DiMera got the confession from his father on June 29, and instead of going to the police he split the difference. On July 3 he slipped away from his own son’s first birthday party, pulled on gloves, dodged the hospital cameras, and left a medical book open to the arsenic chapter in Sarah’s office.

The plant worked. Sarah found the book on July 6, ordered the right tests, and started the chelation treatment now saving Holly’s life. Johnny gets partial credit for that. He also gets full credit for shielding the man who made it necessary, because EJ DiMera repaid the favor by gutting the rest of the investigation.

On July 9 the other shoe dropped. EJ and Rita raised a glass to a doctored water report that erased the Coriseal entirely, leaving plain arsenic that reads as natural. Armed with that lie, Sarah looked her own niece in the eye and called it a drug relapse. Holly threw her out of the room, Tate Black stood by his girlfriend, and the man responsible suggested a posh rehab.

Who Poisoned Holly on Days of Our Lives?

Nobody poisoned Holly on purpose. She drank well water contaminated by the arsenic laced Coriseal batch that DiMera Pharmaceuticals buried on Smith Island back in 2024, and EJ DiMera has known the truth since late June. His crime is not the poisoning. His crime is everything he has done since.

Line up the three evidence kills and the pattern snaps into focus. The planted book steered the diagnosis, the doctored water test buried the source, and the Coriseal paper trail vanished from DiMera’s records. Each looks like a dead end on its own. Together they prove someone with total access is running a cleanup, and only one man in Salem fits.

The One Thread He Cannot Doctor

My gut tells me the ISA is the trap door under EJ’s feet. Cat Greene has been running her undercover operation for weeks, she kissed him on July 9, and her hypnosis session dredged up memories of a bandaged EJ in an Italian clinic. Her partner on the case is threatening to pull the plug, which in soap language means a detonation is coming.

Meanwhile the honest side of the board keeps adding pieces. Steve Johnson brought Black Patch muscle to the hunt on Friday, and he, Sarah, and Brady all agree the planted book and the buried tests smell like a purge. Circulating spoiler chatter says EJ moves to get Sarah fired next week, which tells you exactly how rattled the man is.

And then there is the mother of all loose ends. Nicole Walker has been name dropped at Holly’s bedside without ever appearing on screen. Don’t be surprised if this scandal is the story that finally drags her back to Salem. If I know these writers, EJ DiMera will slip the first noose, gloat about it, and walk straight into a second one he never saw coming.

The Phoenix’s Son Is Running Out of People to Fool

EJ slipping the noose is the engine this show runs on, and watching Sarah and Brady grind against his money is delicious agony. But the ledger of people who know is getting long. Johnny knows, Cat knows more than EJ realizes, and Rita knows everything while she drinks his liquor.

Our call: the cover up holds through the summer, then one of his own burns it down, and our money is on Johnny’s conscience beating the ISA to the punch. Disagree? Join Salem’s jury over on our Facebook page.
