TL;DR: DAYS spoilers for May 25 to 29 say the walls are closing in on EJ DiMera from every direction. Gwen and Gabi commiserate, Tony makes his move for DiMera Enterprises, Lexie demands answers, Abe finally tells Theo the truth, and Marlena sits EJ down for a hypnosis session that could drag every buried secret on Days of Our Lives into the light.

The Resurrection Empire Has a Leak

EJ DiMera spent a fortune, and a great deal of someone else’s money, pulling Lexie Carver out of a pod and back into the land of the living. For one glorious will reading he looked like the smartest man in Salem. That glow fading fast. Cat Greene and Leo Stark are on the hunt. Tony DiMera smells blood in the boardroom. And the partner who helped fund the whole miracle is done being patient. The week of May 25 on Days of Our Lives is when the bill comes due.

Monday, May 25

Monday belongs to two women the DiMera men have wrung dry when Gwen Rizczech and Gabi DiMera commiserate, and there is plenty to commiserate about. Gwen helped bankroll the resurrection and is watching her supposed fifty percent shrink to whatever EJ feels like handing her. Gabi clawed her way back to being Stefan’s widow at the will reading and Philip knows she double-crossed him at Titan and kicked her to the curb. Literally. Two scorned women comparing notes in Salem is never a quiet afternoon. It is a fuse.

Meanwhile, Amy Choi is crushed by what searchers recover from the river. We don’t think they find Sophia’s body – we’re still not convinced she’s really dead – but a discovery of her shoes or other belongings would traumatize any mother.

Tuesday, May 26

Tuesday, EJ updates Johnny DiMera on Tony’s plan, and that plan is not subtle. Tony wants a new CEO installed before he walks away for good, which drops the heir question and the Stefan widow question on the table at the same time. Of course, Philip did tell Gabi he found proof that Vivian Alamain forged her divorce papers so she’s a legitimate heir. And she’s promised Xander that she intends to use that money to pay Titan back for her sins. DiMera money will end up going to Titan after all.

EJ, on the other hand, is surrounded by ticking time bombs, and he’s still oh-so-curious about Cat and their past history. What he finds out may change his life forever. Speaking of which,  Jennifer Horton offers Cat a truce today, which matters far more than it sounds, because Cat is the loose thread that could unravel everything. Will she allow Cat to date Chad? Highly doubtful. Little Thomas is in charge of THAT drama.

Wednesday, May 27

Here is the centrepiece. On Wednesday, Marlena Evans sits EJ down and puts him under hypnosis. He asked for this himself. He wants to recover what happened in Italy with Cat, as the gaps in his memory have been gnawing at him for months. What EJ does not fully grasp is that a hypnotized mind does not politely stay on topic. This is a man who has buried a working resurrection lab, a pod, a price list, and a roster of strangers quietly offering ten figures for their own miracle. You do not go digging around in that brain and come back with only Italy.

Cat knows it too, which is exactly why she is terrified. One wrong memory floating to the surface and her ISA cover is finished. Across town, Theo Carver comforts Paulina Price, who has packed her bags rather than fighting a once-dead woman for her own husband. EJ DiMera built this entire house of cards.

Thursday, May 28

Thursday is when the people closest to this mess stop accepting silence. Lexie demands answers from EJ, and she has earned them. She woke up in a tunnel with no idea what was done to her body, and the version of Lexie who came back is colder and far more demanding than the woman Salem buried. She wants a full accounting, and she is not a patient client.

Then Abe Carver admits the truth to Theo and the truth is sure to cause pain. Abe has got to be devastated and elated at the same time, but we think devastated is winning. This conversation should be the emotional gut punch of the week.

Friday, May 29

Friday, Belle Black and Brady Black make a discovery. The spoilers stay coy about what it is, but the timing is loud. Salem is crawling with people who expect another resurrection, and the whole town is raw. Whatever Belle and Brady stumble onto lands in a week where nothing stays buried for long.

By the end of the day, EJ DiMera will know whether his hypnosis gamble cracked him open or held the line. Either way, the empire he resurrected is wobbling, and Salem is watching it sway.

Lexie is back, Paulina is gone, and the man who started all of it is lying on a hypnotist’s couch. Who do you want to see take EJ down first, and does he deserve a prison cell or a second chance? Sound off below because this comment section is going to be a lot!
