Rachel Black may not know it yet, but she could become the most powerful weapon in the history of Days of Our Lives.

EJ DiMera has already been to Bayview. He brought Rachel the narwhal. He told her about Johnny’s fire. He has been laying groundwork with a child who is scared, isolated, and desperate for people she can trust. Later, her mother Kristen DiMera banned him from the facility entirely.

That ban means nothing to EJ.

What it does mean is that he has to find another way in. And Rachel, processing the news that Sophia is dead, is more emotionally raw and reachable than she has ever been. EJ DiMera built this access deliberately. The question is how he uses it.

Here is our first prediction. Someone places a fake call to Kristen DiMera. Something happened to Rachel. She is asking for her mother. Kristen needs to come to Bayview immediately.

Kristen will not hesitate. She will run to that hospital without stopping to think about whether this is a trap. EJ knows that. He has watched Kristen operate for decades.

She rushes to Bayview. EJ’s people are waiting. Kristen never makes it inside. Rachel will be used as an instrument by a man who smiled at her like a favorite uncle.

The Darker Theory

The second possibility is the one that keeps us up at night. EJ does not fake a call. He actually takes Rachel.

Kristen losing her mind over her daughter’s disappearance would be spectacular in the worst possible way. She would not wait for answers. She would tear Salem apart, and make herself visible and easy to locate. That kind of panic is exactly the chaos EJ works best inside.

Why Rachel Is the Perfect Pressure Point

Rachel Black is not a random child caught in this crossfire. She is the specific pressure point that makes Kristen DiMera stop being strategic and start being desperate.

Every plan Kristen has ever made came apart when Rachel was in danger. EJ knows that the woman who tried to kill his son has exactly one weakness, and that weakness is currently in a hospital room at Bayview grieving Sophia and wondering if she will end up the same way.

EJ DiMera did not bring that narwhal to Rachel because he is a kind uncle. He brought it because he is Stefano’s son, and Stefano’s son always knows exactly which piece to move next.

How This Ends for Kristen

Spoilers confirm the kidnapping is coming. The only remaining question is whether EJ uses Rachel’s name to lure Kristen out or whether he takes Rachel first and lets the fallout do his work.

Either way, Kristen is walking into this without seeing it coming. She banned EJ from Bayview thinking she protected her daughter. She aligned with Xander thinking she bought herself protection. None of it accounts for the fact that EJ stopped reacting to her moves.

He is already three moves ahead. And the most important piece on this board has pigtails and is currently being told that her friend is dead.
