Not in those words. He used phrases like “disproportionate amount of the risk” and “as your attorney, you should take this offer.” He framed it as legal counsel, with the audacity of a man who has clearly never met an angry redhead with a working brain.
Then, almost as an afterthought, he mentioned her beloved Matty had been caught snooping around the tunnels. The exact location of the lab where Salem’s most dangerous secret is currently breathing.
