STOP CRUCIFYING HOLLY JONAS AND REMEMBER WHO DRUGGED WHOM

TL;DR: Sophia Choi drugged Holly Jonas for weeks with antipsychotic medication on Days of Our Lives, used a child as her unwitting courier, and very nearly killed her. Now Mrs. Choi wants to charge Holly with manslaughter for grieving the wrong way, and Salem is treating it like a reasonable request. It is not. Someone has to defend this girl.

Let’s Set the Scene

Today was Sophia Choi‘s memorial in Salem, and Holly Jonas did not go to the after gathering at Brady’s Pub. Not because she did not care. Because she knew her presence would not be welcome.

Tate Black tried to make peace at the memorial. He told the Chois that Sophia’s death has been hard on Holly. Too little, too late, considering nobody has actually been standing up for this girl, but he tried. Sort of. And Amy Choi seized on her absence as further proof that the teenager had made another bad decision.

Then Tate and Holly walked into the pub at exactly the wrong moment to hear Amy tell her husband Jason Choi that she wants Holly charged with manslaughter.

The Receipts on What Sophia Actually Did

Salem has apparently developed amnesia about the actual sequence of events here.

For weeks, Sophia Choi swapped Holly Jonas’s skin care supplements for antipsychotic medication and fed it to her without her knowledge or consent. Holly had reaction that easily could have killed her, and if it had, Sophia would be the one facing attempted murder charges.

That is the relationship between these two girls that nobody seems willing to acknowledge. Holly was the victim of a covert poisoning campaign run by the very person she is now being publicly mourned alongside, and somehow Salem is treating Holly like the villain.

Sophia Pulled a Child Into This

Here is the part that should genuinely make Amy and Jason pause before they keep pushing on the manslaughter angle.

To get those antipsychotics to Holly, Sophia did not deliver them herself. She had them mailed to Marlena Evans‘s townhouse and handed off to a little girl. She used Rachel, Brady’s daughter, a literal child, as an unwitting courier. That is coercion of a minor into committing what would absolutely be considered a crime. That is also a straightforward misuse of the US Postal Service to move a controlled substance.

This is not a footnote in the case against Sophia. This is the case. The girl Amy is currently trying to canonize spent weeks running a covert drugging operation that pulled a child into her plan. If Sophia had survived this storyline, she would be looking at multiple felonies stacked on top of each other. Instead, the entire conversation has been redirected to whether Holly grieved her in the right way.

The Cyberbullying Angle Falls Apart Under In Seconds

The official line in Salem is that Holly cyberbullied Sophia into her death. Let us address that, too.

Holly was upset with Sophia. She had every reason on this earth to be. Sophia drugged her. Anyone who has ever been betrayed by a friend has talked badly about that friend afterwards. That is not bullying. That is grieving a friendship that was never real to begin with.

And here is the thing nobody in Salem has bothered to investigate. The first inflammatory post that supposedly kicked off the pile on appears to have come from Sophia herself, bait posted to draw exactly the response she could later weaponize. The other girls who jumped on after that bait did so on their own. Holly is one name in a long list, and she is the only name anyone seems interested in punishing.

That is not justice. That is a scapegoat hunt with a teenage girl at the bottom of it. Holly Jonas is owed a defense, a real one, and somebody in Salem needs to stop bowing to Amy Choi’s grief and start asking the actual hard questions before this girl loses her future to a charge that should never have been suggested in the first place.

Who is going to stand up for Holly, and isn’t it time Salem stopped letting Mrs. Choi turn her grief into a lopsided manslaughter case? Sound off below because somebody in this town owes this girl a defense!
