Translation: Monday in Salem is ALL about family drama, romantic interference, and holding EJ accountable – for approximately the millionth time.
Javi Hernandez Finally Snaps & Accuses Gabi Hernandez Of Ruining His Romance
Let’s start with the Hernandez family drama, because nothing says “family reunion” like Javi Hernandez (Al Calderon) accusing Gabi (Cherie Jimenez) of sabotaging his budding romance with Leo Stark (Greg Rikaart).
Here’s the tea: Gabi has been trying to keep Javi as far away from Leo as humanly possible. She’s seen Leo’s track record. Lying, scheming, backstabbing, gossip-mongering, and decided her cousin deserves better. Which, to be fair, is not entirely unreasonable! Leo has burned pretty much everyone he’s ever dated, and Gabi’s just trying to protect Javi from becoming the next casualty.
But Javi isn’t having it. He’s fallen HARD for Leo, and he’s not about to let his overprotective cousin dictate who he can and can’t date. On Monday, expect Javi to confront Gabi and accuse her of meddling where she doesn’t belong. He’ll probably point out that Gabi’s own romantic history is a DISASTER (umm, Stefan DiMera? EJ DiMera? Jake DiMera? Girl has a type and they all end with “DiMera”), so maybe she should focus on her own love life instead of ruining his.
Gabi will likely fire back that she’s only looking out for him because she LOVES him and doesn’t want to see him get hurt. But Javi’s going to make it crystal clear: Leo is staying in his life, and Gabi needs to back off and deal with it.
Honestly? Team Javi on this one. Gabi means well, but the man is a grown adult who can make his own mistakes. And who knows? Maybe Leo will actually surprise everyone and NOT destroy Javi’s life. (Okay, probably not. But let’s be optimistic!)
Eric Brady & Belle Black Confront EJ DiMera: The Accountability Squad Strikes Again
Meanwhile, Eric Brady (Greg Vaughan) and Belle Black (Martha Madison) are about to have WORDS with EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel), and honestly, it’s about time.
Let’s recap EJ’s recent crimes, shall we? He replaced Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering) with an evil doppelgänger named Arnold Feniger who destroyed Rafe’s relationship with Jada Hunter (Elia Cantu) and made everyone’s lives miserable. He sabotaged Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman) and Chanel Dupree’s (Raven Bowens) adoption plans. He manipulated Belle while they were sleeping together. He made Kristen DiMera’s (Stacy Haiduk) mother “disappear” so Rachel couldn’t testify against him. And let’s not forget: He’s literally a RAPIST who assaulted Sami Brady (Alison Sweeney) years ago, which recently came to light when Johnny discovered the horrifying truth about his conception.
So yeah. Eric and Belle have PLENTY to say to this man.
Eric has every reason to despise EJ. Not only did EJ keep Eric’s son Jude Black from him for MONTHS by lying about paternity, but he’s also spent years tormenting Eric’s family. Eric is a genuinely good person, but even saints have their limits, and EJ has crossed pretty much every line imaginable.

Belle, on the other hand, is dealing with her own complicated feelings about EJ. She recently ended their secret affair after realizing (for the billionth time) that EJ is incapable of change. She thought maybe—JUST MAYBE—there was a decent man buried under all that DiMera arrogance. Spoiler alert: There’s not. EJ manipulated her, used her, and made her look like a fool. And now, as Salem’s District Attorney, Belle’s stuck prosecuting the man she was sleeping with just weeks ago. Awkward doesn’t even begin to cover it.
On Monday, Eric and Belle are going to TAG-TEAM EJ and let him know exactly what they think of his latest crimes. Expect harsh words, bitter accusations, and EJ acting like he’s the victim in all of this (because of course he will). Will EJ show even a SHRED of remorse? Absolutely not. Will he try to justify his actions with some twisted logic? Absolutely yes.
The real question is: Will this confrontation actually lead to consequences for EJ, or will he once again slither out of accountability like the snake he is? Our money’s on the latter, because this is Days of Our Lives, and EJ DiMera always finds a way to escape justice.
Sarah Kiriakis Makes A Breakthrough & Brady Black Reassures Rachel Black
Sarah Kiriakis (Linsey Godfrey) is making a medical breakthrough on Monday, which probably means she’s getting closer to figuring out what’s going on with whatever mysterious illness or problem she’s been dealing with. Knowing Salem’s track record, this “breakthrough” will either save someone’s life or reveal a shocking secret that changes everything.
Meanwhile, Brady Black (Eric Martsolf) is reassuring his daughter Rachel (Finley Rose Slater), which is sweet but also concerning. Rachel has been through A LOT lately—her grandmother Rachel Blake mysteriously “disappeared” thanks to EJ, and she’s been caught in the middle of adult drama she shouldn’t have to deal with. Brady’s doing his best to be a good dad and make sure Rachel feels safe and loved, but let’s be real: This kid is going to need YEARS of therapy after everything she’s witnessed.
The Bottom Line On Monday’s Salem Chaos
Monday, November 17 on Days of Our Lives is all about confrontations, accusations, and family drama. Javi is calling out Gabi for trying to control his love life. Eric and Belle are teaming up to hold EJ accountable for his crimes (again). Sarah’s making progress on a medical mystery. And Brady’s trying to be a supportive dad to Rachel in the midst of chaos.
