WHAT IF JOY WESLEY RIGGED KELSEY’S DNA TEST AND ALEX KIRIAKIS IS NOT THE FATHER AT ALL

TL;DR: On Days of Our Lives, Joy Wesley called Alex Kiriakis from the hospital in a panic over a routine vaccination and a co-pay, and Alex paid it without blinking. Spoilers suggest someone may have switched Kelsey’s DNA results. Our theory: Joy rigged the test thanks to her father Craig Wesley’s medical access! Now, the real father could be Jeremy Horton or someone Joy met after leaving Salem, and Alex Kiriakis has been the mark from the moment Joy knocked on his door.

The Hospital Call Was the Tell

Picture it. Joy Wesley calls Alex Kiriakis in a panic from the hospital. He drops everything, hangs up on Stephanie mid-conversation, and races to the hospital to find out what happened to baby Kelsey. The crisis turns out to be a routine vaccination and a co-pay Joy could not cover. Alex tells her he will handle Kelsey’s expenses going forward.

That scene tells you everything you need to know about where this storyline is heading. And Days of Our Lives spoilers suggesting someone may have switched Kelsey’s DNA results just made it considerably more explosive.

The Gold Digger Theory

Let us be direct about what we think Joy Wesley is doing here. She arrived in Salem with a baby, a DNA test, and a story designed from the beginning to position Alex Kiriakis as both the father and the financial solution to every problem in her life. The hospital call was the tell. Joy did not accidentally panic over a vaccination. Joy called the man with Kiriakis money to make sure he understood that Kelsey needed him, and that she needed him by extension.

The fact that her father is Craig Wesley, a physician with access to medical records and testing infrastructure, is not a coincidence we are prepared to overlook. What if Joy did not just manipulate the situation? What if she manipulated the test?

Who Is Kelsey’s Real Father

Here is where this theory gets genuinely diabolical. Joy left Salem in March 2025 and nobody is entirely sure when she conceived Kelsey. She lied about the pregnancy. That is not the behavior of a woman committed to full disclosure.

Joy was involved with Johnny DiMera before she left Salem. She was also close to Jeremy Horton, who later convinced her to return to Salem with the baby reveal specifically because he believed it would destroy Alex and Stephanie’s marriage. Did Jeremy know all along he might be Kelsey’s father and sent Joy into Salem carrying his secret like a perfectly timed detonation device?

What if Joy was not even pregnant when she left Salem? What if she conceived Kelsey after her departure and then engineered the DNA test results to point to Alex has a Kiriakis bank account?

Why Jeremy Makes the Most Sense

Picture it. Jeremy Horton knows the baby is his. He cannot claim her so he makes a calculated move: he convinces Joy that Alex would be receptive to a surprise daughter and encourages her to go back to Salem.

He’s already there, so he attempts to kiss Stephanie, gets caught playing both sides and exits town with his reputation shredded. But the baby stays. And Joy Wesley is now embedded in Alex’s life with a child whose name has been legally changed to Kelsey Kiriakis.

What Happens When Alex Finds Out

Alex Kiriakis fell in love immediately. He has been bonding with Kelsey, covering her medical expenses, building a father-daughter relationship in real time while his marriage to Stephanie buckles.

If the DNA results were switched, the reveal does not simply hurt Joy’s scheme. It dismantles a bond Alex has already formed with a child he believes is his. That is a man being asked to process the simultaneous discovery that he was deceived and that the child he loves may not be connected to him biologically.

Joy Wesley may see Alex as a cash cow. But the show is building toward a moment where the cost of that calculation lands on everyone in that room, including Kelsey.

Is Alex really Kelsey’s father or has Joy been running the longest con in Salem? Drop your prediction below.
