Days Of Our Lives
Days’ Radical Reveal! This Is Not the Lexie Carver Anyone Remembers and Paulina Is Paying the Ultimate Price!
Salem spent months resurrecting Lexie Carver, and she came back cruel. She steamrolled Paulina Price out of her own marriage without blinking.

LEXIE CARVER CAME BACK CRUEL AND PAULINA DESERVES SO MUCH BETTER
TL;DR: Salem spent months and a small fortune resurrecting Lexie Carver on Days of Our Lives, and the woman who walked out of that pod is selfish, cold, and entitled. She steamrolled Paulina Price out of her own marriage without blinking, and even Theo is shaken. So where is the warm, magnificent Lexie everyone kept promising us? We have questions.
Let’s Set the Scene
For months, Salem moved heaven and earth to bring Lexie Carver back. EJ DiMera and a secret lab and a pod and a resurrection that defied every law of medicine and decency. We were told, over and over, that the woman coming back was the warm, magnificent, beloved Lexie. The one who lit up every room. The one Salem had mourned for years.
So imagine the whiplash of watching the woman who actually emerged. Because the Lexie who walked out of that pod is not warm. She is not magnificent. She is cold, entitled, and absolutely ruthless, and she proved it the moment she got Paulina Price alone in a room.

Lexie Came for Paulina and Did Not Miss
Let us recap the kindest cruelty Salem has seen in a while. Lexie sat across from the woman who has loved and cared for Abe Carver for fifteen years and thanked her. Thanked her for looking after Abe. Thanked her for being a companion to him. As if Paulina were a house sitter who kept the plants alive while the real wife was away.
Paulina, gracious to the end, said the pleasure was all hers. And then Lexie delivered the line that gave away the whole game. I know you built a life with Abe, she said, but I am back now and I am not going anywhere.
That is not a grieving woman finding her footing. That is a woman planting a flag in another woman’s marriage and daring her to object.
Paulina Took the High Road and It Broke Our Hearts
Here is the part that stings. Paulina did not fight. She told Lexie she would step aside. Lexie thanked her, because of course she did, and Paulina went home and pulled out her suitcases.
When Abe walked in, he was stunned. He asked her not to play God by making this decision for him. Paulina asked him a simple question. Would he have made a different one? And when Abe did not answer fast enough, Paulina said two words that should haunt him. Goodbye, Abraham.
Let us be clear about what happened here. Paulina knew Lexie Carver was alive and could have blown the whole thing up. She did not. She protected Abe’s happiness even when it cost her everything.
And here is the cruelest irony of it. Abe learned that Paulina knew Lexie was alive this whole time and could have stopped the resurrection before it ever happened. Instead of raging at her for keeping that secret, he seemed to finally understand that Paulina stayed silent because she loved him enough to let him have his first wife back. And Lexie treated her like hired help.
So Where Is the Lexie We Were Promised?
Even Theo is shaken. When his mother gleefully told him the wonderful news that Paulina was stepping aside so they could be a family again, Theo did not celebrate. He told her Paulina is family to him. Paulina has been there for him.
So where is the sweet, magnificent woman everyone described? Perhaps that part of her personality remains in the Pod. Because the Lexie currently running Salem from a hospital room is selfish, demanding, and cold. She also did not ask Abe what he wanted. She did not ask Theo what he needed. She announced what was going to happen.
Spoilers have hinted that this Lexie is different, and that her return won’t last. We will not pretend to know how this plays out, but if the show is quietly building a version of Lexie Carver that nobody in the audience can love, it is doing a remarkable job. And honestly, after watching what she did to Paulina, we are not entirely sure we want this one to stick around.
