Days of our Lives Star Emily O’Brien Ties the Knot in a Wedding Straight Out of a Storybook
Days of our Lives star Emily O’Brien married her longtime love, Ken Barnett, over the weekend in a beautiful wine country ceremony.

EMILY O’BRIEN IS A NEWLYWED
Days of our Lives star Emily O’Brien is officially a married woman, and her wedding weekend looked like something out of a dream.
Emily O’Brien and Ken Barnett Say I Do
Emily O’Brien, who plays Gwen on Days of our Lives, married her longtime love, Ken Barnett, on Saturday, August 1, at the CaliPaso Winery in Paso Robles, California. She shared the news on Instagram with a set of romantic black-and-white photos, one of which showed her walking through a sunlit courtyard in a lace gown with her veil trailing behind her.
The dress itself carried real family history. It belonged to Ken’s grandmother, worn originally in 1956, and Emily O’Brien folded it seamlessly into the day’s story. In her caption, she wrote about how much richer and more adventurous her life has become with Ken in it, and closed things out with a toast to the couple’s private nicknames for each other, Pickles and Neens, a sweet little detail that made the post feel like a peek into something personal rather than a wedding announcement.

A Love Story Twelve Years in the Making
This wedding did not come out of nowhere. Back in March, Ken posted his own tribute to mark their twelfth anniversary as a couple, joking that after all that time they were still up to the same shenanigans, and signing off with a little French endearment for the woman he clearly adores. Seeing that post now, alongside the wedding photos, it is easy to trace how long this love story has been building toward its happy ending.
Emily O’Brien’s own journey on daytime has spanned two decades. She got her start on The Young and the Restless in 2006 as the eccentric Jana Hawkes, a role that ran for five years before she eventually found her way to Salem. On DAYS, she has spent years navigating Gwen’s tangled history with Leo and Dimitri, bringing real warmth and humor to a character who could easily have been played as one-note. Watching her step away from all that scheming for a weekend to simply be a bride felt like a genuinely lovely full-circle moment for longtime fans of her work.
