Let’s take a moment to appreciate what the writers just did here. They put Salem’s two most troubled young women under the same roof and gave them a shared secret.
Rachel Black shot her uncle EJ DiMera and blocked out the memory completely. She just poisoned Sarah Horton with pistachio ice cream knowing full well about her allergy. This kid has a body count brewing and she’s not even old enough to drive.
Sophia Choi manipulated Tate with fake pregnancy lies, destroyed multiple relationships, and apparently has been faking a mental breakdown to avoid consequences. She’s been sitting in that Bayview room for WEEKS waiting for… what exactly?
Now they’re allies. Now they’re keeping each other’s secrets.
Marlena told Brady that Rachel still needs to stay at Bayview. She has no idea that Rachel’s new friend has been running a long con right under everyone’s noses. And honestly? If Sophia fooled Marlena Evans — Salem’s premier psychiatrist — then she’s smarter than anyone has given her credit for.
What happens when the truth comes out
Something is brewing at Bayview and it’s not good. Sophia didn’t stay silent for weeks without a plan. She’s waiting for something. Or someone.
