Chad DiMera and Belle Black find a clue in the chess set, pulling them closer to a secret Stefano buried so deep that even the people it was meant for never found it. Chad has called Belle to the pub and she is on her way, and what they uncover together is going to reframe everything they thought they knew about that board.
Marlena Evans reflects on fifty years in Salem, and the timing of that reflection, right as the chess set mystery accelerates around her, is not lost on anyone paying attention. Andrew Donovan scolds Cat Greene, and EJ DiMera confronts Kristen DiMera, who has been connecting dots EJ cannot afford to have connected.

Brady Black officially joins Black Patch, bringing a new energy to Salem’s most reliable investigation unit at a moment when Salem has no shortage of things that need investigating. Sarah Horton asks Xander Kiriakis for a favor, which is a sentence that rarely ends simply for either of them.
Stephanie Johnson opens up to Kayla Brady about what she has been carrying since the shooting, and Joy Wesley sends Alex Kiriakis into a panic. Whatever Joy has said or done, Alex is not ready for it, and the situation between them is nowhere close to resolved.

Sarah Horton and Brady Black dig deeper into the recent Coriseal deaths, and what they are finding does not look like coincidence. Holly Jonas collapses, and the timing raises questions about the medication she has been talking about and what may actually be in it.
Liam Selejko gives Arianna Hernandez a proper goodbye, and Gabi DiMera surprises Theo Carver in a move nobody in Salem saw coming. The man who said he never wanted to see her again finds out this week that corporate wars have no respect for personal declarations.

Kristen DiMera asks Xander for protection, which means she has decided that whatever EJ is planning is real and close enough to act on. Arianna Hernandez demands the truth from Gabi DiMera, and Gabi has to decide how much of it she is actually willing to give.
Holly Jonas shares a theory with Tate Black, Sarah Horton confides in Brady, and Rita Lesley alerts EJ to a developing problem at DiMera Enterprises. EJ is running out of board to maneuver on and this week is the week that becomes undeniable.
Friday, June 26
Belle Black and Chad DiMera continue unraveling the mystery of Stefano’s chess set, and Friday brings them close enough to the answer that Salem may never be the same afterward. EJ DiMera puts Xander Kiriakis on the spot in front of Sarah Horton, a move designed to destabilize at least two people at once.
Stephanie Johnson makes an empowering decision that Salem did not see coming. Alex Kiriakis and Philip Kiriakis worry about what comes next, and Brady Black and Kristen DiMera deliver troubling news to Rachel Black. Friday in Salem lands hard.
