TL;DR: Theo Carver just told Cat Greene he is supposed to read a letter at Stefano DiMera’s will reading on Friday’s Days of Our Lives, a letter the Phoenix entrusted to his grandson that supposedly explains everything. Marlena Evans is suddenly attending. Lexie Carver, Stefan DiMera, Vivian Alamain are all technically dead. Which doesn’t mean they won’t show up. Because in Salem, the dead come back to life!

The Will Reading Was Already Going to Be Chaos

Theo Carver just told Cat Greene he is supposed to read a letter that explains everything at Stefano DiMera’s will reading on Friday’s Days of Our Lives. A letter the Phoenix himself entrusted to his grandson – without Theo’s knowledge – before he died. We have theories.

Stefano DiMera was a man who never planned an ending without three escape hatches. The notion that he would leave this earth without one final cosmic prank is laughable. Whatever is in the letter is not going to be a touching message about love. It is going to be a codicil that will change everything. And it’s the last document Stefano ever signed.

And that codicil is going to bring people through the door of the DiMera mansion that nobody knew were coming.

The Surprise Guest List Is Already Forming

Marlena Evans initially declined the invitation. Then she offered to attend with Theo to support him. Marlena will somehow be in that room. Stefano DiMera’s lifelong obsession with Marlena means his will reading without her would feel incomplete. He would not have allowed that.

Theo says Abe will be there to support him. Abe is the perfect emotional witness for what we know is coming next. Lexie Carver is going to walk into the will reading and reveal that she’s been resurrected. And Abe is going to be blindsided.

Lexie Carver is supposed to be dead. Theo, EJ, Gwen, Owen Kent, Paulina, Dr. Rolf, Marlena and an increasing number know this isn’t true. But it’s Theo and Paulina who are bearing the most pain. They know she is lying in wait. We think that wait will come to an end within days.

The Other Phoenixes Already Circling

Vivian Alamain is supposed to be dead too. So is Stefan DiMera. So is Megan Hathaway, last seen shot in an assassination attempt she should not have walked away from. The DiMera family has technically buried all three of them. But there are more empty graves involved with the DiMera family than there are available rooms in the mansion.

Vivian will be at this will reading. If not in person then through the deeds she did, the bodies she buried, and the secrets she knew. Stefano kept her around for decades because she made the family more interesting. He is not going to leave this earth without making sure her name comes back into the room one final time.

Stefan is the wildcard. The forged divorce documents that Gabi is preparing to weaponize on Friday cannot exist in a vacuum. Either Stefan is alive and the paperwork was real, or he is dead and the paperwork was fake. Or, there is a third option. He is still being held captive and has no knowledge of what others did behind his back. Time will tell.

Megan was the wildcard child Stefano always favored privately and protected fiercely. Her son Dimitri Von Leuschner is currently in Salem doing what Dimitri does. The Phoenix would have left a final lifeline for the daughter most like him.

And Then There Are the Crashers

Leo Stark is not done trying to finagle his way into the will reading. We’re betting on him.

Rita, Stefano’s trusted assistant, arranged for Stefano’s pen to be placed inside the box of his ashes and we don’t think she’d miss this. Wilhelm Rolf is going to be there because Stefano never executed a major decision without him. Cat Greene is going to be there to make sure Chad DiMera enjoys the deviled eggs (natch!) she ordered for him. So there will be plenty of steamy glances across the crowded room.

Cue the canapés! Double up on the liquor! The DiMera mansion is going to be standing room only on Friday. And Theo Carver is the one holding the document that will detonate everyone in it.
