Okay, soap fans, buckle up because this theory has me SHOOK! What if I told you that Vivian Alamain might be running her OWN private prison right now? And not with just one captive, but TWO?!

The more I dig into this theory making the rounds in the Days of Our Lives community, the more my jaw drops. We’re talking about a double kidnapping that connects decades of Salem history, family feuds, and enough forged letters to make your head spin!

MAJOR DEVELOPMENT 1: Stefan’s Confirmed Kidnapping Sets The Stage

Let’s start with what we KNOW for sure. In 2024, Vivian Alamain literally kidnapped her own son! With Ivan Marais by her side (because of course he was), she snatched Stefan DiMera right out of his life.

But here’s where it gets twisted…

She didn’t just grab him and run. Oh no, that’s not Vivian’s style! She forged divorce papers AND wrote a fake letter to Gabi Hernandez to make it look like Stefan was done with their marriage. The woman literally tried to legally and emotionally destroy Gabi while holding her son hostage!

This isn’t speculation, people. This HAPPENED. On screen. We watched it unfold.

So when another DiMera-adjacent man suddenly disappears with only a suspicious letter left behind? Yeah, my Spidey senses are TINGLING!

MAJOR DEVELOPMENT 2: Dimitri’s Suspicious “Breakup” Has Fans Crying Foul

Here’s where things get REALLY interesting. Dimitri von Leuschner gets out of prison and then… radio silence. The only communication? A breakup letter to Leo Stark that was – and I quote Leo here – “sloppy and had misspellings.”

Excuse me, WHAT?!

Since when does the articulate, well-educated Dimitri write sloppy letters? This is a man who risked EVERYTHING for Leo! Their relationship went from fake romance (for that inheritance scheme, remember?) to genuine, swoon-worthy love. Fans were calling them “comedic gold” together!

And now we’re supposed to believe he dumps Leo via a poorly written letter?

I don’t think so!

MAJOR DEVELOPMENT 3: The Von Leuschner Family Feud That Started It ALL

This is where the theory gets DELICIOUS! See, Vivian doesn’t just hate randomly. She holds GRUDGES. Epic, multi-generational, bury-you-alive-while-taunting-you-via-radio grudges!

Remember Carly Manning? Born Katerina von Leuschner? Vivian literally buried her alive! (With Chinese herbs to paralyze her, a limited water supply, and that two-way radio so she could mock her victim. Classic Vivian!)

Now guess who Dimitri is related to? He’s Carly’s NEPHEW! His dad is Oskar von Leuschner. This puts him square in the crosshairs of a feud that goes back to the early ’90s when Lawrence Alamain was supposed to marry Katerina but she fled and became Carly instead.

Oh, and it gets better – Dimitri is also Stefano’s grandson through his mother Megan Hathaway. So he’s got DiMera AND Von Leuschner blood. Talk about a double target on his back!

SPECULATION & WHAT’S NEXT: The Alliance We Never Saw Coming?

Here’s what has me on the edge of my seat: What if Gabi and Leo team up to find their men?

Think about it! These two have never exactly been besties, but they both have partners who mysteriously vanished with sketchy letters left behind. Gabi’s got the ruthless determination. Leo’s now an investigative reporter at The Spectator. Together? They’d be UNSTOPPABLE!

But wait… there’s more!

What if Vivian isn’t working alone? Some fans are speculating that Gwen Rizczech could be involved. She just came back to Salem with mysterious money, she’s got a history of kidnapping (remember when she drugged Abigail and shipped her to that island?), and she’s got SERIOUS motive. Dimitri humiliated her by having an affair with her supposed best friend!

Or could Megan Hathaway be pulling strings? She never approved of Leo…

The most INSANE theory? That Vivian’s endgame involves using Dr. Rolf to implant Stefano’s consciousness into Stefan. (I can’t even… but also, would we really be surprised?)

Will Stefan and Dimitri be discovered locked up together somewhere, bonding over their shared captor? Will their rescue lead to a new DiMera power alliance against EJ? And most importantly – when will someone realize that TWO men disappearing with forged goodbye letters is NOT a coincidence?!

With the new co-head writers’ material starting in late April 2025, this mystery could explode ANY day now. Whether they recast or bring back the original actors, one thing’s for sure – this theory is too juicy to ignore!
