GH SPOILERS SEPTEMBER 9: WILL ALEXIS DAVIS’S POLICE SLIP EXPOSE HER KIDNAPPING SECRET?

TL;DR: On September 9’s General Hospital, Alexis Davis makes a costly mistake during police questioning about Drew Cain’s shooting, potentially exposing that she’s holding Ric Lansing captive in her basement.

OH. MY. GOD. Just when Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) thought she could handle a simple police interrogation, she’s about to make the biggest mistake of her LIFE! With Diane Miller (Carolyn Hennesy) by her side at the PCPD, Alexis is walking into a minefield—and she doesn’t even realize the bomb she’s sitting on is about to explode!

What Happens to Alexis Davis at the Police Station?

Alexis Davis goes to the police station with her attorney Diane Miller to answer questions about Drew Cain’s (Cameron Mathison) shooting, but during the interrogation, she says too much and potentially exposes her dark secret.

And here’s where it gets INSANE—Alexis isn’t even involved in Drew’s shooting! She’s completely innocent of THAT crime. But while Anna Devane and the PCPD are grilling her about the attempted murder, Alexis is sitting there sweating bullets about something far, FAR worse. Because right now, as she’s being questioned, there’s a man tied up in her basement! I’m not kidding—Ric Lansing is literally being held captive in Alexis’s house, and she’s desperately trying to keep that explosive secret from coming out!

Does Alexis Confess to the Kidnapping?

It’s unclear if Alexis directly confesses to kidnapping Ric Lansing, but spoilers confirm she “says too much” during questioning, which could give police probable cause to search her home.

The pressure is absolutely crushing her! Think about it—Alexis is trying to answer questions about where she was when Drew got shot, but how can she give an honest alibi when she was literally committing a FELONY at the time? “Oh, sorry officers, I was just busy kidnapping my ex-husband to protect my daughter Kristina!” Yeah, that’s not going to fly!

And poor Diane! She’s sitting there giving her best friend legal advice, completely unaware that Alexis is hiding the mother of all secrets. Every piece of counsel Diane offers is based on the assumption that her client is innocent—which she IS, of the shooting! But the kidnapping? That’s a whole different story!

Will the Police Search Alexis’s House?

Given Alexis’s nervous behavior and whatever she accidentally reveals, the PCPD will likely obtain a search warrant for her property—and the discovery of Ric in her basement would be catastrophic.

You can practically see it playing out—Anna, being the former WSB superspy that she is, picks up on every nervous twitch, every pause, every weird answer Alexis gives. And when Alexis tries to explain her whereabouts or makes some Freudian slip about having someone “tied up” (even if she means her schedule), Anna’s radar is going to go WILD!

The worst part? Alexis has done this before! This woman has a rap sheet longer than a CVS receipt when it comes to breaking the law for her daughters. Remember when she killed Kiefer? When she covered up crimes for Julian? When she literally faked having dissociative identity disorder? This is classic Alexis—protecting her kids at ANY cost!

What’s Next for Alexis, Kristina, and Ava?

Could this mean Alexis’s entire world is about to crumble? Don’t be surprised if this slip-up leads to criminal charges not just for Alexis, but for her co-conspirators Kristina Davis and Ava Jerome too! Given Alexis’s history of maternal protection gone wrong, this has all the makings of a storyline that will dominate fall sweeps. If I know these writers, they’re setting up Alexis for either a dramatic trial or a desperate cover-up attempt that only makes things worse!

Reading between the lines, this “costly mistake” is going to be the domino that starts an avalanche. Once the police get suspicious enough to search Alexis’s house, it’s GAME OVER. You can’t explain away a bound and gagged man in your basement! And knowing Molly’s going to find out her mother kidnapped her father? The family fallout alone will be DEVASTATING!

Quick Answers for GH Fans

Q: Is Alexis guilty of shooting Drew? A: No, Alexis is completely innocent of Drew’s shooting—but she’s guilty of kidnapping Ric Lansing!

Q: Why is Ric in Alexis’s basement? A: Ric was blackmailing Alexis about embezzled Cassadine funds, so she, Kristina, and Ava kidnapped him to buy time to return the money.

Q: Will Diane find out during the interrogation? A: It’s possible Diane could discover the truth if Alexis slips up badly enough—which would destroy their friendship at the worst possible moment!

The tension in that interrogation room is going to be OFF THE CHARTS! Alexis trying to keep it together, Diane having no clue what’s really going on, and Anna sensing something’s seriously wrong—this is the kind of scene that reminds us why we’re addicted to this show!

Mark my words—September 9 is going to be a game-changer for Alexis Davis. After decades of walking the line between lawyer and Cassadine, between law and family, she’s finally gone too far. And that “costly mistake” she’s about to make? It’s going to bring everything crashing down!
