Viewers know better, because the July 6 episode revealed Cassius alive in secret WSB custody while the bureau sells his death to the world.

Anna’s homecoming also came with a stowaway. Peter August has been dead since 2022, yet a hallucination of him strolled into her living room on July 8 and purred that she can finally take her revenge. Nobody else can see him, and Anna is telling nobody. That is the powder keg sitting under everything that happens this week.

Then the doorbell rang. Liesl Obrecht spent months locked in the same Wyndemere sub-basement, and on Friday she begged Anna to help clear Cassius, swearing Cullum was the real monster of the operation. Thursday is the date to circle, because that is when Anna Devane puts Britt Westbourne in the hot seat. Britt only walked free on Friday, July 10, after the WSB declined to press charges, and she is still reeling from the July 6 bombshell that she never had Huntington’s at all. Cullum faked her test results, and the medication she swallowed was nothing but saline.

That timing makes this interrogation deliciously cruel. Britt lost years to a manufactured death sentence, her 2023 death turned out to be staged, and she came home in 2025 to a town that had already mourned her. Anna Devane lost the better part of a year to a cell, a chemical fog, and a dead man’s voice piped through the walls. Two shattered women, one room, and a mountain of secrets between them.

Before that showdown, Monday brings the warning. Spoiler coverage frames it with a wink, asking whether it comes from a real person or from her imaginary companion Peter. Reading between the lines, my money says the voice doing the warning is not among the living. Anna is grilling Britt because Britt sits at the center of every lie Anna came home to, from the staged 2023 death to her long entanglement with Cullum’s operation. Here is the connection nobody else is making: Anna is interrogating Britt over a cover story the audience already knows is false, since Cassius is alive in WSB custody while the bureau buries him on paper. That leaves Anna as the one person in Port Charles with the skill and the rage to torch the bureau’s tidy narrative. Wednesday’s spoilers tease that she may need every trick she has to find her answers, and Britt is simply the first door she plans to kick in.

A Changed Man Walks Into the Crossfire

Monday also happens to be the landmark 16,000th episode, and Jason Morgan comes home from a Jakarta prison a changed man whose choices, the head writers promise, will hit Britt and Anna both. He declared his love to Britt in March, right before the bureau hauled him away. Don’t be surprised if Jason walks straight into the middle of Anna Devane versus Britt and has to pick a side before Friday.

And then there is the doorstep cliffhanger. Friday’s episode ended with Valentin Cassadine, freshly pardoned and publicly attached to Carly, standing at Anna’s door. Could this mean the long teased reunion between the exes is finally warming up? If I know these writers, that reunion talk lands like a grenade in at least two relationships.
