GUN DRAWN! GH’s Anna Devane Finally Has Britt Westbourne Cornered, So Who’s Racing To Save Her?
Anna Devane has Britt Westbourne cornered with a gun on GH, and the only person racing to save her doesn’t know where to look yet.
JASON ALREADY SUSPECTED SOMETHING WAS OFF, BUT DOES HE KNOW WHERE TO LOOK?
Anna Devane has Britt Westbourne cornered in an isolated clearing with a loaded gun. On General Hospital, the only question left is who gets there first.
Anna Had a Kill Kit Ready Before Britt Ever Picked Up the Phone
Anna Devane had every piece of this planned before Britt Westbourne ever picked up the phone. She stopped at a property she’d bought from Sonny, checked a trunk hidden in the brush to confirm it had everything she needed to kill Britt and dispose of the body, and only then called Britt with a lie about new information on Cassius’s death. Britt walked into a meeting she thought was about her brother, at an isolated clearing on land Anna owns, with zero idea the trunk in the bushes was already packed and waiting for her.
Anna picked Mount Emerson specifically because nobody would be around to hear anything, and she told Britt exactly that once she got there. When Britt Westbourne asked why they had to meet all the way out in the boondocks, Anna calmly pulled a gun and said, “So no one can hear you scream.” That is not a woman having a bad day, that is a woman who has been building toward this exact moment for weeks, and every step of tonight proves it was never spontaneous.

Jason Felt Something Was Wrong, He Did Not Know What
General Hospital Spoilers delivered the moment we’ve been dreading for weeks. Jason Morgan had the pieces in his hands and still couldn’t put them together fast enough. Earlier that day he ran into Anna Devane at the shooting range and clocked that something about her was off, but he had no context for what he was actually seeing. When he got to General Hospital to pick up Britt for the Quartermaine party, Tristan told him she’d rushed off after a call, something about needing to help her mother at Mount Emerson.
That location is what should have set off every alarm Jason has. He knew Sonny owned land out there, made one call, and learned Sonny had recently sold that exact parcel to Anna. Jason tried Britt over and over after that, and she declined every single call, because she had no idea she needed to answer. By the time Jason connected Anna, the land, and Britt’s silence, Anna already had her cornered with a gun in her hand.
So No One Can Hear You Scream
The math here is brutal: Jason knows enough to be worried, Britt Westbourne knows nothing at all, and Anna Devane has a head start measured in a completed drive out to an empty clearing. If Jason is even a few minutes behind figuring out exactly where Mount Emerson is, this ends with a body in the ground rather than a rescue, and there will be nobody around for miles to hear the difference.
So who actually gets there in time? Jason is the obvious answer, he has the motive, the resources, and enough dread building in his gut to floor it the second he puts the pieces together. But Anna Devane has spent two weeks convincing everyone around her that she’s fine while planning this in secret, and a woman that far gone with a gun already drawn does not stop merely because someone shows up unannounced. If Jason walks into that clearing and tries to talk her down instead of stopping her outright, he could easily become her next problem instead of Britt’s rescue.
A Head Start Nobody Can Measure Yet
Britt Westbourne is standing in an isolated clearing across from a loaded gun and a woman who has nothing left to lose. Somebody needs to get there in the next few minutes, and soap circles are already speculating this is the cliffhanger the whole storyline has been building toward. Right now, the only person even looking in the right direction is racing against a head start he doesn’t know how big it is.

The Clock Is the Only Thing Britt Has Left
We are not ready to lose Britt Westbourne to a woman who spent two weeks convincing everyone she was fine. Anna Devane built this moment brick by brick, and the only person even pointed in the right direction is running on instinct instead of information.
