Out in the hall, the clinic quietly loaded the gun that is about to go off. Mac Scorpio and Felicia asked Dr. Laurent when they could bring Anna home, and the therapist gave the answer that ruins everything. Anna is significantly better, he said, but the team needs to make sure she does not relapse. That single word reframes whatever Anna says next as a symptom instead of a statement.
Then Anna pulled her best friend aside and laid it bare. She confessed she was trying to work out which of her tangled memories of Faison she could trust, and who in her life she could trust, and because Felicia is her best friend, she needed her to believe what came next. “Nathan West is not who he says he is,” Anna declared, and Felicia’s stunned face said everything.
Here is the agony of it. Anna Devane is right. She is more right than anyone walking the streets of Port Charles, where the whole town has been fooled by a dead man’s face. The one woman who solved it is the one woman nobody can afford to believe.
This is the Cassandra curse in couture. The moment Anna finally grabs hold of something solid and true, the setting itself screams unreliable narrator. She knows things she should not be able to know, she is fixated on an identity nobody else questions, and she is saying it all from a psychiatric facility. To a worried friend, that does not look like genius. It looks like the relapse the doctor described moments before.
And Felicia is the perfect person to be torn in half by it. She loves Anna and would give anything to take her seriously, yet she also stood in that hallway hearing a professional call her friend’s grip fragile.

Why We Think the Truth Almost Escapes, Then Gets Buried
Here is where our heads went. Soaps love to dangle a secret one inch from exposure before yanking it back, and this setup is built for exactly that tease. We predict Felicia leaves France genuinely shaken, half-believing, carrying Anna’s words home like a stone in her shoe, and that doubt becomes the slow fuse on the whole imposter reveal.
Our bet is Felicia says something to Mac, careful and hedged, framed as worry about Anna rather than a real accusation. And the second a PCPD veteran hears even a whisper that “Nathan” might be a fraud, the dominoes start leaning. The danger for the imposter is no longer some far-off clinic.
