Anna Devane is captive, the WSB is compromised, and she’s running out of time. Who’s going to save her on GH? We have a dark horse theory!

Anna Devane Is Running Out of Time
Anna Devane is in serious trouble. She’s being held captive by Sidwell and his mysterious partner. Her polycythemia vera is getting worse without treatment. She’s bleeding from the nose and getting weaker by the day.
And the people who should be looking for her have no idea where she is.
Someone needs to save Anna Devane. But who? We put on our speculation hats and came up with some candidates. Some are obvious. One is a dark horse that has us absolutely THRILLED.

Option One: Jason Morgan
Jason is the obvious choice. He’s Port Charles’ resident hero. He saves people. It’s what he does. He’s already been watching over Britt and trying to figure out what Sidwell is up to.
But here’s the problem: Jason is DISTRACTED. He’s got a budding romance with Britt. He’s suspicious about her situation with Sidwell. He’s focused on protecting the people right in front of him. Jason doesn’t even know Anna is missing because Jack Brennan told everyone she’s on a “classified WSB assignment.”
Jason could absolutely save Anna if he knew she needed saving. But right now? He’s in the dark.
Option Two: Sonny Corinthos
Sonny and Laura are working together to take down Sidwell. Sonny knows Sidwell is dangerous. He knows the man is up to something shady. If anyone has the resources to storm a fortress and rescue a hostage, it’s Sonny Corinthos.
But Sonny doesn’t know Anna is being held by Sidwell. He’s focused on protecting his piers, his family, and fighting the blackmail situation with Laura. Anna isn’t even on his radar right now.
Plus, Sonny going up against the WSB? That’s a whole different level of complicated.
Option Three: Jack Brennan
Jack is literally in charge of finding Anna. He’s the WSB agent on the ground. He told Emma he’d look into her grandmother’s whereabouts. He should be the one to rescue her.
But here’s the HUGE problem: Jack’s boss is dirty. Director Cullum is working WITH Sidwell. The WSB itself is compromised. Every time Jack reports his findings, he’s reporting to the enemy. He’s been chasing his tail this entire time without knowing it.
Jack genuinely wants to find Anna. But he can’t save her when his own organization is the one holding her captive.
Option Four: Laura Collins
Laura is the Mayor. She’s smart. She’s resourceful. She took down Frank Smith back in the day. And she’s currently being blackmailed by Sidwell, which means she’s closer to this mess than almost anyone.
But Laura is trapped. Sidwell has photos that could destroy her. He’s threatening Ace. Kevin just took her grandson out of the country to keep him safe. Laura is in survival mode right now, not rescue mode.
She might figure out where Anna is eventually, but she’s not in a position to mount a rescue mission.
The Dark Horse: Our Top Pick
Okay, here’s where it gets GOOD. There’s one person in Port Charles who has the skills to pull off a rescue. One person who loves Anna deeply. One person who owes her everything. One person who is ALREADY hiding in the shadows, waiting for his moment.
He’s a fugitive. He’s supposed to be on the run. But he came back to Port Charles anyway. He’s been laying low, biding his time, working in secret.
And he told Anna the last time they saw each other that the time she loved him was the best of his life.
This man has nothing to lose. The WSB already wants him dead. Sidwell can’t threaten him with anything he hasn’t already faced. He’s the perfect person to go rogue and save the woman he loves.
If our theory is right, Anna’s rescue is going to be EPIC. And the reunion? We’re going to need tissues.
