TL;DR: Britt Westbourne followed Lulu Spencer into the bathroom on General Hospital today and warned her that being with Nathan West is a huge mistake. She said he has changed. She said he needs to figure out who he is. She said “don’t say I didn’t warn you.” Britt knows the man Lulu is sleeping with is not Nathan West. He is Cassius Faison. And Britt is trying to save Lulu without blowing her brother’s cover. Lulu did not listen. She should have.

“Don’t Say I Didn’t Warn You”

Britt Westbourne could have stayed in her seat. She could have sipped her drink, made small talk with Brad Cooper, and let Lulu Spencer walk into whatever is coming without lifting a finger. Nobody would have blamed her. Lulu has been relentless toward Britt for months. She has blamed her for everything that happened with Rocco. She has told her to stay away from her son. She sat in that bar tonight trashing Britt to the man she thinks is Nathan West and did not even try to lower her voice.

And Britt still followed her into that bathroom to try to save her.

She told Lulu that Nathan has changed since being gone. That he needs time to figure out who he is before diving into a relationship. That being with him is a huge mistake. Lulu pushed back. She insisted Nathan is the same wonderful guy he has always been. And Britt said the line that should have stopped Lulu cold: “That’s because it’s who you need him to be.”

Then she walked out with five words hanging in the air. “Don’t say I didn’t warn you.”

Britt Knows Something Lulu Cannot See

Here is what Lulu Spencer does not know. The man she has been dating for a month, the man she just called the person she trusts most, the man she is sharing her bed with and confiding in about her son, is not Nathan West.

He is Cassius Faison. Britt’s brother. A man who has been impersonating Nathan under Jenz Sidwell’s orders. A man who threatened to have Britt killed and then stepped in to save her life in the same week. A man who has been lying to every single person in Port Charles about who he is since the day he walked back into town.

Britt Westbourne knows all of this. She has been fighting with Cassius behind closed doors about the secrets she is keeping for him. She cannot tell Lulu the truth without blowing Cassius’s cover, which would put her own life in even more danger than it already is. So she did the only thing she could do. She tried to warn Lulu in code.

Nathan has changed. He needs to figure out who he is. Being with him is a mistake.

Every single word of that is the truth. Britt told Lulu the truth tonight. She told her as plainly as she could without saying the actual words. And Lulu looked at this woman who was trying to protect her and accused her of trying to keep them apart.

And when Lulu looks back on tonight, she will remember Britt Westbourne walking into that bathroom and telling her to run. She will remember ignoring it. She will remember choosing the comfort of the lie over the warning from the one woman who actually knew the truth.

Britt Westbourne has been through more than any one character should have to survive. And even with everything on the line, even with Lulu treating her like an enemy, Britt still tried to save her. That is not a villain. That is a woman with a conscience and nowhere safe to put it.
