Stockholm Syndrome?! Valentin Cassadine and Carly Spencer Aren’t Fooling GH Fans!
Carly Spencer slept with Jack and thought about Valentin the entire time. He admitted he is jealous. They called it Stockholm Syndrome. Sure.

CARLY SPENCER IS IN TROUBLE AND IT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THE WSB
TL;DR: Carly Spencer took Jack Brennan upstairs on General Hospital and spent the whole time thinking about Valentin Cassadine, who was downstairs pacing her living room and trying to listen from the staircase. They both called it a Stockholm Syndrome sex thing. Neither of them believes that for a second.
Of Course I Am
Carly Spencer and Valentin Cassadine have a problem. It is not Jack Brennan. It is not the WSB. It is not the fact that a fugitive is living in her attic while she plays house with a federal agent. Those are all significant problems, yes. But the real problem is that Carly Spencer and Valentin Cassadine cannot stop thinking about each other and they are both absolutely terrible at pretending otherwise.
Valentin cornered Carly the second Jack walked out the door. He wanted to know how long it would be before she turned on him. He could see the guilt in her eyes, he said. She admitted she feels bad about using Jack when the man genuinely loves her.
And then Valentin brought up last night. The night they slept together. He complained about how much she enjoyed being with Jack. And Carly, because Carly cannot leave a single thread unpulled, asked him if he was jealous.
“Of course I am!”
He blurted it. Not smoothly. Not strategically. Not with the calculated charm of a man who has manipulated his way across continents. He said it like it hurt and he could not hold it in anymore.

The Stockholm Syndrome Sex Thing
Here is where it gets delicious. After Valentin’s little confession, they both did what two people who are terrified of what they feel for each other always do. They rationalized.
They agreed that whatever happened between them was just a “Stockholm Syndrome sex thing.” A byproduct of proximity and adrenaline and the fact that hiding a fugitive in your attic creates a certain kind of tension. They shook on it, essentially. They told each other it meant nothing. It should not ruin the plan.
Valentin stormed upstairs. Carly stood in her living room thinking about sleeping with him.
Neither of them believes a single word of what they agreed to. Not one.
The Part That Should Terrify Jack Brennan
Jack Brennan told Carly he loves her. He said he wants a future together. He said he would do anything for her. And Carly, who has spent her entire life being loved loudly by powerful men, looked at this WSB agent who has moved mountains for her and felt… guilt.
Not love. Not excitement. Guilt.
She told Valentin she can see how much Jack regrets recruiting Joss. She can see that his feelings are real. And then she took Jack upstairs to her bedroom, and while she was with him, she envisioned Valentin there instead.
Carly Spencer is not falling for Valentin Cassadine. Carly Spencer has already fallen. She fell somewhere between the attic and the argument and the jealousy confession, and the only person in Port Charles who does not know it yet is Carly herself.
The Man on the Patio
Meanwhile, Valentin Cassadine, international fugitive, master manipulator, a man who has outrun governments, stood at the bottom of Carly’s stairs and tried to listen to what was happening in her bedroom.
Then he walked out onto the back patio. Then he pulled his hood over his head and walked off into the night.
This is not a man who is fine. This is not a man executing a plan. This is a man who told a woman he has feelings for her, agreed it was nothing, and then could not physically stand in the same house while she was with someone else.
Carly Spencer and Valentin Cassadine called this a Stockholm Syndrome sex thing. Port Charles should call it what it actually is. These two are in so deep they cannot see the surface anymore, and when this arrangement inevitably explodes, it is going to take Jack Brennan, Charlotte, and every plan they have built right along with it.
Carly took Jack upstairs and thought about Valentin the entire time. Valentin tried to listen from the stairs and then walked off into the night. Are you rooting for these two or is this a disaster waiting to happen? Sound off below!
WATCH THIS: Are they a YAY or NAY for you?
@soapoperamag Are Valentin and Carly HOT or NOT? I like them, but only for now. A short fling is FIRE but long-term? That would be a no from me. They have a ton of chemistry but they just don't fit as people. Carly belongs back with Sonny and Valentin and Anna are a match made in heaven. What do YOU think though? #GH #GeneralHospital ♬ original sound – Soap Opera Magazine
