CASSIUS FAISON ALIVE AS Z OFFERS HIM A LIFELINE

TL;DR: Cassius Faison is alive in WSB custody, Z made him a life-or-death offer, and we have a theory about who he might really be.

Alive, in Custody, and Already Cornered

Cassius Faison survived the docks after all. Z tracked him down handcuffed to a bed in a makeshift hospital room and laid out the damage. Cassius is facing multiple charges, including jeopardizing national security and a nuclear conspiracy tied to Faison’s device.

Cassius tried arguing that Cullum was the real liar, but Z was not interested in excuses. Josslyn already signed a sworn statement placing full responsibility on Cassius, and that statement is currently the only story the WSB is telling. Refusing the deal outright would mean betting his life on a version of events nobody in power is willing to believe.

Z made the stakes plain: Cassius is likely looking at the death penalty, unless he agrees to work for the bureau instead. It is not a generous offer, but it is the only one on the table, and Cassius knows it. Whatever he decides, he is doing it without a single person he loves knowing he is even alive to make the choice.

Britt and Liesl Think He’s Already Gone

While Cassius was sitting through Z’s ultimatum, his family was mourning him. Nina arrived at the jail and told Liesl Obrecht and Britt Westbourne that Cassius had died, moments after Liesl called him a hero who would find a way to free them all. Liesl’s joy turned to devastation in an instant.

Britt had bigger news of her own crashing down at the same time. Lucas told her that her Huntington’s diagnosis was fake and that her “medicine” was only saline, gaslit into her by Cullum for years. She melted down, kicked Lucas out, then broke the truth to her mother directly.

Liesl’s reaction genuinely surprised us. Instead of relief that her daughter was never dying, she seemed almost delighted, more focused on reuniting her children than on the years Britt lost. Grief and gaslighting collided in the same conversation, and neither woman knows Cassius is still breathing. It is a lot of pain to carry over one bad news cycle, and somehow it is not even the worst news either of them will get this week.

Our Wildest Theory: Does Cassius Bend or Run?

We predict Cassius does not roll over for Z easily. A man who faked his own execution story once already does not read as someone who trusts a bureau offering him a “choice” between working for them and dying. Our bet is he plays along only long enough to find an exit, and that Z’s WSB has badly underestimated him.

Here is where our heads really went, though. Cassius has spent this entire storyline as a man built by Faison to impersonate his own twin. If a man that skilled at wearing someone else’s identity is sitting in WSB custody with nothing left to lose, we would not be shocked if the persona game is not over. Could there be a version of this where Cassius plays “Nathan” again for Z, purely to buy his freedom? We think it is worth watching.

We also cannot ignore that Liesl and Britt still believe he is dead. When Cassius Faison is inevitably confirmed alive to his own family, that reunion alone could reshape whether he takes Z’s deal or runs from it entirely.

Should Cassius take Z’s deal, or is he better off making a run for it? Sound off in the comments.

Team Deal or Team Escape for Cassius Faison?

Z basically told Cassius Faison to pick between a WSB badge and a body bag, so we want to know where you land. Do you trust Cassius enough to root for the deal, or do you think Liesl and Britt deserve to get their hero back free and clear? Head to the Facebook page and tell us your verdict.

WATCH: So, looks like we were right…are we also right about him being Nathan?!
