GH Spoilers: Harrison Chase Has Proof Michael’s Alibi Is Fake — Wedding Wrecker Or Hero?

DETECTIVE CHASE DROPS A BOMB THAT COULD DESTROY MICHAEL CORINTHOS

TL;DR: Detective Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) declares he has proof that Michael Corinthos (Rory Gibson) gave police a false alibi in the Drew Cain shooting investigation. The detective discovered Michael paid Jacinda Bracken to lie about being with him the night Drew was shot. Chase will deliver this evidence to Willow’s attorney Alexis Davis on Friday, potentially exonerating his ex-wife while sending Michael to prison. But is Chase a hero seeking justice or an idiot risking his marriage to Brook Lynn for “psycho Willow”? General Hospital fans are picking sides, and it’s getting MESSY.

The Moment That Changes Everything

Week of November 17 on General Hospital is serving up the confrontation fans have been waiting for. Harrison Chase stands before Michael Corinthos with a declaration that could end the Quartermaine heir’s freedom: “Michael gave the police a false alibi. And I can prove it.”

Wait. WHAT?

After weeks of investigating “off the clock” — because let’s be real, his partner Dante is Michael’s BROTHER and the acting police commissioner — Chase finally cracked the case. He discovered who Jacinda Bracken’s real client was the night Drew Cain got shot. And spoiler alert: it wasn’t Michael. The entire alibi? Paid for. Fabricated. A complete lie told directly to law enforcement.

Michael thought he was clever paying Jacinda to “fall in love with him” to make the alibi convincing. But Chase? He did his homework. The detective who everyone keeps calling an “idiot” for helping his ex-wife Willow? Turns out he’s the smartest guy in Port Charles right now.

How We Got To This Nuclear Meltdown

Let’s rewind. Drew Cain was shot, and Michael became a prime suspect. Instead of, you know, proving his innocence like an actual innocent person would… Michael FRAMED his own wife Willow for the crime. Then created a fake alibi with Jacinda Bracken. Who has priors. And who also took money from Drew to stay out of town.

This man really chose the most unreliable co-conspirator possible.

But here’s where it gets juicy — Chase wasn’t buying any of it. During their October confrontation at the Metro Court, Michael tried convincing Chase that Willow was guilty. Big mistake. Chase fired back that Michael had “bigger motive and access” to the gun than Willow ever did. And that’s when the detective started digging. On his own time. As a private citizen.

Why? Because Harrison Chase has “reawakened feelings” for his ex-wife. He’s been visiting Willow in Pentonville, holding her HAND across the visiting room table, and working obsessively to prove her innocence. His current wife Brook Lynn Quartermaine? Not thrilled about any of this.

The #TeamMichael vs #TeamChase War Is BRUTAL

Soap fans are absolutely divided on this one. And I mean DIVIDED.

One camp is screaming that Chase is throwing away his marriage for a woman who cheated on Michael with his uncle Drew. “Why are they turning Chase into an idiot?” fans are raging online. “He’s risking his marriage for psycho Willow!” They see Chase as a “predictable simp” being manipulated by a desperate woman who’s “only out for Willow.”

But the other side? They’re done with the “Corinthos clan never pays” trope. Michael is being called a “cold blooded human with zero morals” and a “walking crime wave.” These fans are READY to watch Michael go down hard. Finally. After years of getting away with everything from killing Claudia Zacchara to countless other questionable decisions, maybe — just maybe — there will be actual consequences.

Here’s my take: they’re BOTH making terrible choices. Chase is emotionally cheating on his wife and destroying his marriage for a woman who might be manipulating him. Michael is… well, committing multiple felonies. Lying to police. Obstruction of justice. Paying a witness to provide false testimony. That’s not “protecting his children” — that’s becoming exactly what his grandfather Alan Quartermaine spent years fighting against.

The irony? Michael is Alan’s biological grandson, and he’s turned into the very criminal his grandfather tried to stop when Sonny first came to Port Charles.

What Happens When Chase Delivers The Proof

Friday, November 21, Chase takes his evidence straight to Alexis Davis. Willow’s attorney now has the ammunition she needs to get her client out of Pentonville and potentially put Michael IN. Could this mean Michael loses custody of his children? His position on the hospital board? His freedom?

All of the above, probably.

There’s also chatter that Drew and Nina might be working their own angle — bribing Jacinda to tell the truth. So we might have a race to see whose evidence breaks Michael’s alibi first. Will it be Chase’s clean investigative work or Drew’s “stop at nothing” tactics?

Either way, Michael’s carefully constructed house of lies is about to COLLAPSE. And when it does? The fallout will hit everyone from Willow to Brook Lynn to the entire Quartermaine family. Because Brook Lynn is Michael’s cousin, and her husband just destroyed him.

Some marriages don’t recover from that.
