DANTE FALCONERI HAS THE EVIDENCE THAT JASON MORGAN COVERED FOR ROCCO

TL;DR: On a recent episode of General Hospital, Dante Falconeri put it together with Elizabeth Baldwin in his office. The blood on the gun is not Cullum’s. Jason Morgan’s slide bite is a rookie injury. Rocco Falconeri walked into the hospital that night with a “knife cut” that was nothing of the kind. Dante has the answer now and the next move is the one that ends his career, ends his marriage to the truth, or ends his son’s life as he knows it.

The Math Dante Falconeri Sat Down With Elizabeth and Solved

Dante Falconeri called Elizabeth Baldwin into his office and laid the pieces on the desk one at a time. The blood on the gun is not Ross Cullum’sJason Morgan, career enforcer, somehow caught a slide bite, an injury rookies catch on the firing range, not professionals in a real shooting. The hands that fired that pistol the night Cullum went down were not Jason’s hands. Liz heard him out and then she handed him the last domino. She had treated Rocco Falconeri the same night. The story was a knife cut. The wound was a slide bite.

Dante did the math in real time and the math came out to his son. Rocco shot Cullum. Jason took the fall. Jason did it because Rocco is Sonny’s grandson. Jason did it because Rocco is Danny’s brother. Jason did it because that is what Jason does. And Britt Westbourne knows. And Lulu Spencer knows. And nobody told Dante.

The look on Dante’s face when he caught Liz’s grimace was the look of a father finding out he is the last person in his own family to know his son fired a federal agent’s gun.

Dante Has Two Options and Both of Them Cost Him Everything

Option one is the badge. Dante walks into the PCPD with the test results, the slide-bite injury report, and Liz’s testimony, and he turns Rocco in. He gives the WSB the real shooter, gets Jason out of a black site in Jakarta, and writes the cleanest report of his career. The cost is his son. Rocco is a minor who pulled a weapon on a federal agent in the middle of a Cassadine adjacent operation, and the WSB does not have a juvenile court. Rocco does not see daylight again until he is older than Dante is now.

Option two is the cover-up. Dante walks back to his squad room, files the test result somewhere it never gets found, lets Britt’s ID stand, and lets Jason rot in Jakarta to keep his son free. The cost is the badge, the marriage to the law, and the moral high ground he has been standing on for fifteen years of Port Charles television. Dante Falconeri does not survive option two with his career intact and he knows it.

The third option is the one a Falconeri actually picks. Dante goes after the answer to the question Liz could not answer. Why did his son fire that gun.

Lulu Spencer Knew and She Lied to His Face

Dante is going home. Dante is going to look at Lulu and ask her one question. Did she know. The answer is yes and Lulu is going to have to decide in the space of one breath whether to lie to her ex-husband again or finally tell him their son has been carrying a federal-level secret alone for weeks while she was busy ending her relationship with a man who is not actually Nathan West.

Lulu has been protecting Rocco. Britt has been protecting Rocco. Jason walked into a black site to protect Rocco. The only person nobody bothered to bring into the protection circle is the boy’s actual father, and Dante is about to walk into his ex-wife’s apartment with the test results and an expression Lulu has never seen on his face before. The marriage ended years ago. The co-parenting arrangement is about to end tonight.

The Move Nobody Sees Coming Is the One Sonny Corinthos Forces Him Into

Here is the truly diabolical version. Dante does not get to choose. Sonny Corinthos finds out first because Sonny finds everything out first. Sonny looks at his son in his office and tells him exactly what is going to happen. Rocco is not going to a federal facility. Jason is not staying in Jakarta one extra hour. Sonny Corinthos is going to use every favor he has banked on every Cassadine, every WSB asset, and every dirty cop in his pocket, and he is going to make this go away. Dante’s job is to keep his head down, keep his mouth shut, and let his father handle it.

Dante refuses. Dante always refuses. And then Dante watches his father do it anyway. The truth never makes it into a courtroom. The truth makes it into the kind of file that gets sealed for fifty years. Rocco walks. Jason walks. Cullum stays alive long enough to figure out he was shot by a child and dies trying to find out which child. And Dante Falconeri spends the rest of his career on a force that is technically still investigating a case he could close in twenty minutes.

That is the Port Charles ending. That is the only ending. And Dante Falconeri is about to walk into the kind of week that turns a clean cop into a complicated one for good.
