A quick arrest hands Willow a clean, contained consequence, and this story has never been about clean.

Our money’s on something colder: Drew using the very silence Willow weaponized against him to build a case so airtight she can’t buy, charm, or lie her way out of it, letting her believe she has time to run before he closes every exit at once. Blackmail feels too easy for a man who spent this long being underestimated. A slow, calculated dismantling of everything Willow built while assuming he couldn’t fight back feels far more his speed, and it would cost her everyone she’s used along the way, far more than her freedom.

The One Thing Willow Won’t See Coming

Willow Tait spent weeks treating Drew like a problem to be managed instead of a person capable of retaliation, and that miscalculation might be the only thing that saves her from something worse.
