Drew doesn’t just love Willow. He’s OBSESSED with her. And obsession makes people do stupid things.
When Drew finds out Willow shot him, he might actually convince himself it was justified. She was desperate! She was fighting for her children! Michael pushed her to the edge! Drew might twist himself into knots finding reasons to forgive the woman who literally tried to kill him.
Plus, Drew has an ego the size of Texas. Admitting that Willow shot him means admitting he was wrong about EVERYTHING. Wrong about her innocence. Wrong about Michael. Wrong about all of it. Drew might forgive Willow just to avoid admitting he’s been a clown this entire time.

Drew already has concerning patterns when it comes to power dynamics in relationships. If he finds out Willow shot him, he could hold that over her head forever. Stay with me or I tell the police. Do what I say or you go to prison. Support me in court or your kids lose their mother.
Willow would be completely trapped. She committed attempted murder AND perjury. Drew would have absolute power over her for the rest of her life. And given everything we know about Drew Cain, can we really say he wouldn’t use it?
Michael Was Right and That’s Going to Hurt
No matter which path Drew chooses, he’s going to have to face one brutal truth: Michael was right about Willow.
Michael knew something was off. Michael tried to protect his kids. Michael has been painted as the villain this entire time when he was actually the only one seeing clearly.
