GH’s Ethan Lovett Is Back in Port Charles Asking Sonny Corinthos for Steady Work and Ric Lansing Is Already Staring Holes Through Luke’s Boy
Ethan Lovett asked Sonny Corinthos for a steady job on GH after reconnecting with Kristina and Ric Lansing clocked Luke’s boy instantly.

ETHAN LOVETT WANTS A JOB AND RIC LANSING ALREADY KNOWS
TL;DR: Ethan Lovett walked back into Port Charles last week and immediately went looking for his old fractured family. On Monday’s General Hospital, he showed up at Sonny Corinthos’s door, reconnected with Kristina Corinthos-Davis, and pitched himself for steady work now that Jason is away. Sonny was thrilled. Ric Lansing walked in behind him and gave Luke’s boy the kind of look that means somebody is about to get played.
Luke Spencer’s Boy Is Back and He Is Already Moving
Ethan Lovett came back to Port Charles on Friday after years of running around France and God knows where else, and in three days he has already done more than most returning characters manage in a month of episodes. He reunited with his sister Lulu Spencer. He left a cryptic pier voicemail for an unnamed someone. He moved into Lulu’s place. And on Monday he walked straight to Sonny Corinthos‘s front door looking for work.
Ethan Lovett does not do anything by accident. Luke’s son was raised on cons and long games and exit strategies. The idea that he “just wanted to visit family” is the kind of line you tell a mark, not the audience. And Port Charles has been around long enough to know it.
Whatever he came home for, he needs access. He needs cover. And he found both in one stop.

The Kitchen Reunion That Had Years of History in It
When Ethan knocked on Sonny’s door expecting Sonny, he got Kristina Corinthos-Davis instead. She was babysitting Donna. He called it his lucky day. And then the two of them proceeded to have a conversation with more subtext packed into it than most couples manage in a full season.
They talked about the Kiefer situation. Kristina’s abusive ex. The boy Ethan stepped in to stop. The aftermath where Kristina initially blamed Ethan for hurting her and later developed a massive crush on him. Kristina joked that he is no longer her type. They agreed to be friends. The word “friends” was doing a lot of work in that sentence.
Kristina updated Ethan on Charlie’s and the fire that nearly killed her. Ethan listened like a man who is absorbing information for reasons nobody has told Port Charles about yet. Every piece of intel she gave him was free. Whether she realizes it or not, she may have just briefed a professional.
The Job Pitch and the Look That Told the Whole Story
Then Sonny came home. With Ric in tow.
Sonny Corinthos was thrilled to see Ethan. Of course he was. Luke’s boy, standing in his living room, looking for steady work now that Jason Morgan is away. This is the kind of loyalty pipeline Sonny has been running since the nineties. The Spencer name still means something on the docks. The kid can handle himself. And Sonny is short one lieutenant.
And then there is Ric Lansing.
Ric gave Luke’s son a dubious look. That is the entire beat. Sonny is beaming. Ethan is smiling. Ric is watching. And Ric Lansing does not give anyone the dubious look for free. He has spent the better part of the last month reading rooms for Sonny, building pre-emptive legal strategies for the women he loves, and positioning himself back inside a brother relationship he barely salvaged. Ric notices things. Ric notices this.
Whatever Ric just clocked about Ethan Lovett, he is going to sit on it for now. And he is going to be right.
The Pier Voicemail Has Not Been Answered Yet
Here is the detail that ties the whole thing together. Before Ethan even saw Lulu on Friday, he was on a pier leaving a voicemail for someone he did not name. He told them he would be at the pier every day around noon. He told them to find him.
That voicemail has not been returned on screen. That person has not appeared. And Ethan Lovett is now embedded with Sonny, living with Lulu, reconnecting with Kristina, and circling the Cullum-Sidwell mess that the rest of Port Charles is currently buried in.
This is a long con or a protection detail or both. Ethan is not going to tell us which. Ric is going to figure it out first. And whoever Ethan left that voicemail for is the actual answer to why he came home.
Do you think Ethan Lovett is secretly hunting Cullum, hiding from someone dangerous, or something else entirely? And will Sonny regret bringing him into the fold? Sound off below because this comment section is about to get loud!
