ETHAN LOVETT CAME HOME TO TAKE ROSS CULLUM DOWN

TL;DR: Ethan Lovett came back to Port Charles on General Hospital for the first time since Luke Spencer died — the exact week Ross Cullum, the WSB’s most dangerous asset, is laid up at GH and the Bureau is finally circling. He says he just missed his family. He did not just miss his family. Ethan is a sleeper agent, Cullum is the job, and Port Charles is about to have four separate factions running parallel ops on one man without any of them knowing the other three exist.

Port Charles Is Already a Four-Way War Zone

Port Charles is currently the site of four separate wars being fought by people who mostly do not know the other three wars are happening. Jenz Sidwell has the town in a chokehold. Ross Cullum is the WSB’s own expert on Faison and has spent his entire career gutting the Bureau from the inside. Valentin Cassadine is convinced Cullum is the reason Anna Devane is locked in an institution raving that Faison is still alive. Laura Collins just flipped a drunk Ezra Boyle against Sidwell from City Hall. Josslyn Jacks is running her own op through her mother and Valentin. Marco Rios is dead. Sonny Corinthos and Jason Morgan are being framed for it. And Cullum is currently in a hospital bed while the Bureau finally has to reckon with what its own agent has been doing for a decade.

Into that war zone walks Ethan Lovett.

Do you think Ethan came back to reminisce or to work? Send your wildest theories to [email protected] and we just might publish them right here on the site!

Ethan Did Not Come Home to Reminisce

Ethan Lovett says he was in France. He says he saw his mother Holly Sutton, saw Robert Scorpio, saw Sasha, saw Daisy. He tells his sister Lulu Spencer he is a “professional” and anyone chasing him could not possibly catch him. He tells her his visit might be open-ended. He has “one more stop to make” before meeting her. He turns up at Sonny’s front door to find Kristina Corinthos-Davis standing there and calls it his “lucky day.”

Luke Spencer spent half his life trying to kill Cesar Faison. Ross Cullum has spent his whole career protecting him from the inside. The WSB is not sending Luke’s son a condolence card. The WSB is sending Ethan a target. He is the cleanest asset the Bureau has available — the son of the man who wrote the manual on hunting Faison, walking back into town on a grief cover so airtight nobody in Port Charles will question a single move he makes.

Tracy and Kristina Are Two Intel Lines in One Week

Thursday’s logline confirms Ethan Lovett reunites with Tracy Quartermaine. Tracy runs ELQ. Tracy is also currently neck-deep in hiding Brook Lynn Quartermaine‘s banged-up car at the boathouse under a tarp to bury her granddaughter’s involvement in the Jordan crash. That household is already operating in secret and Ethan is about to be invited right into it.

Monday he catches up with Kristina. Kristina answered her father’s door. That is the softest imaginable entry point to the entire Corinthos intel pipeline — Sonny’s operation, Sidwell’s obsession, the whole Marco Rios investigation. One dinner away. Legacy money and mob access opened inside five days, and Ethan does not have to seduce anyone, lie to anyone, or charm anyone to get it. He is already family to both women. They already trust him. Laura can’t touch that level of access. Valentin can’t touch it. Joss can’t touch it. Ethan can.

Four Ops, One Week, One Spencer Who Came Home

Laura does not know Valentin is running Nina against Jack Brennan. Valentin does not know Joss and Carly are running their own op on Cullum. Joss does not know Laura has flipped Ezra. And none of them know that the man Lulu is walking around town introducing as her brother is the fifth point on a star about to burn the entire Sidwell operation into a smoking crater.

The domino is Felicia Scorpio. Friday’s logline says Felicia gets disturbing news. Felicia was married to Frisco Jones. Felicia is Robert’s oldest friend in the world. Felicia knows every retired WSB veteran still breathing. If anyone in Port Charles is about to pick up a phone and confirm that Ethan Lovett is working, it is her. Felicia knows, Mac knows. Mac knows, Dante knows. Dante knows, the Sidwell case cracks wide open — at the exact moment Jason is still taking the fall for a shooting that is about to become the least of the WSB’s problems.

Four ops. One week. One Spencer who came home. Port Charles will never see which direction the blow comes from.
