GH Spoilers August 20: Anna Devane Targets Josslyn Jacks With the Tristan Roberts Introduction
General Hospital spoilers August 20: Anna Devane introduces Josslyn Jacks to Tristan Roberts, just days after her costly slip. Why?
JOSSLYN JACKS SLIPS ON TUESDAY AND ANNA DEVANE HAS TRISTAN ROBERTS WAITING BY THURSDAY
TL;DR: General Hospital spoilers for August 20 say Anna Devane personally introduces Josslyn Jacks to Tristan Roberts, just two days after Josslyn inadvertently says too much. Anna is not well, and she is not playing matchmaker for fun.
A Wounded WSB Rookie Talks Too Much
General Hospital spoilers for August 20 deliver the introduction we cannot stop staring at. The official Thursday logline says Anna Devane introduces Tristan Roberts to Josslyn Jacks. On its own that is a meet-cute. In context, it lands just two episodes after Tuesday’s spoiler that Josslyn “inadvertently says too much,” a slip Soap Hub calls a grave mistake.
Look at Josslyn’s plate. She is a WSB field agent still healing from a gunshot wound. On August 7, Jax named her CEO of his company and sailed off around the world, and she told his messenger point blank that she is an agent, not an executive. Monday’s spoiler has her asking Michael to help find a replacement, and she has already told her mother she is WSB and is now telling strangers. This is a young woman who is leaking under pressure.
Nobody has said what she reveals on Tuesday or who hears it, and we are keeping the WSB angle in the speculation column until it airs. Reading between the lines, though, the candidates are obvious: her bureau status, what she knows about Jason’s release from that Jakarta black site, or the deal she struck with the agency in July. Any of those in the wrong ears is a real grave mistake.

Anna Devane Is Not Well, and She Is Not Playing Cupid
Now Thursday. Anna has been unraveling since she got home to Port Charles. She has been seeing and hearing Peter August, and that hallucination has been pushing her toward revenge on Britt Westbourne. On August 10 she pumped Felicia for intel on Britt, and on August 13 she set a trap for Britt at the Metro Court pool. This is not the Anna who used to run this town’s law and order.
Soap Hub reads Thursday’s introduction as WSB matchmaking for Anna’s own gain, and points out that “Anna doesn’t do anything without a good reason.” Consider who Tristan is. He arrived on July 13 escorting Jason Morgan home from a WSB black site, and a July 30 exam room scene with Jack Brennan all but stamped him as bureau. He is a heart surgeon at the hospital, and he has already sparked with Britt.
What Does Josslyn Jacks Say Too Much About on General Hospital?
ABC has not told us, so here is our read, and it is speculation. Back in May, Josslyn was locked in the hidden room under Wyndemere and found Anna’s secret message from her own captivity. Those two women share a trauma almost nobody in Port Charles knows about. My gut tells me that if Josslyn Jacks lets something slip about Anna’s time in that cell, Anna would have every reason to swoop in on Thursday and manage the damage.
And handing her Tristan is a very clean way to manage it. Don’t be surprised if Anna is quietly assembling a WSB team she can trust while she circles Britt, and a rattled young agent who just proved she cannot keep a secret is exactly the kind of person Anna would want close. That is either protection or manipulation. With this Anna, we honestly cannot tell which, and that is the point.
Britt Is Being Boxed In From Three Sides
Tuesday’s other spoiler is that Jason’s news shocks Britt. Britt is back with Jason after months apart, and Tristan has been circling her since a hotel mix-up in July. If Jason is pulling toward home and Danny, Britt is left with a dangerous Anna hunting her, a handsome surgeon in her orbit, and a boyfriend whose priorities are shifting. Thursday’s introduction lands right on top of that.
Here is the unverified layer. Soap Opera Spy floats the theory that Tristan ends up saving Britt from Anna, with a hate-to-love story brewing. If I know these writers, putting Josslyn Jacks in front of Tristan could be the first move of a triangle, or Anna making sure her newest asset has a partner. Both roads run through Tuesday’s slip, and Carly Spencer making a realization that same Thursday tells us the walls are closing in on the whole family.

Protection or Manipulation
Josslyn Jacks makes a mistake on Tuesday. The woman hearing a dead man’s voice puts a WSB doctor in her path on Thursday. Officially those are separate loglines. Unofficially, this show never wastes a two-day gap.
Team Anna says she is building Joss a safety net. Team Joss says a wounded rookie is being used to get at Britt. Bring your side to our Facebook page and tell us what Josslyn lets slip.
