As we all know, Ric and Sonny’s relationship has never been smooth sailing. Now, Ric is set to represent Ava Jerome in court, which is bound to create some tension. Ava’s facing some serious charges – she’s accused of pushing Sonny’s daughter Kristina out of a window while she was pregnant.

But don’t expect that politeness to last too long. Rick hints that things quickly take a turn: “But ultimately, their better angels don’t go with them as the conversation and the scenes keep going.”

The real sparks start to fly when Sonny accuses Ric of trying to get Alexis thrown in jail. This stems from an incident where Ric and Liz saw Alexis disposing of a gun at the footbridge and reported it to the police.
