General Hospital spoilers for Wednesday, September 23 put Sonny and Ric in the same room with plenty on the table. Sonny Corinthos strategizes with his half-brother Ric Lansing, while Tracy Quartermaine goes shopping for a new ally. Both beats land one day after the worst-kept secret in Port Charles stopped being a secret.
On Tuesday, Jordan Ashford offered Justine Turner her public endorsement for district attorney. That same day, she watched the acting DA kiss Sonny in an alley outside the Brown Dog. ABC titled this week’s promo “Our Secret’s Out,” and it was not being coy.
So what does Sonny do when Justine’s campaign is suddenly hanging by a thread? He calls his brother. According to the latest General Hospital spoilers, Ric hears him out, and the promo hands us Sonny’s answer to anyone gunning for him: “Let ’em try.” That is not a man planning to lie low.

Nina’s Lawyer Is Also Sonny’s Brother
Ric walks into this meeting wearing two hats. On September 17 he stood beside Nina Reeves as Agent Baines laid out Brennan’s wallet, found in her car, and the WSB took Nina into custody. He is her lawyer. He is also the brother who warned Sonny months ago that Justine might be getting close only to take him down.
Here is the connection nobody is drawing. Nina was framed by Drew Cain, who admitted to Ava Jerome that he planted that wallet himself. Drew and Ava are the same pair scheming to bring down Sonny Corinthos. That puts the lawyer fighting to keep Nina out of a WSB cell and the man Drew wants ruined at one table on Wednesday, sharing one enemy whether either of them knows it yet.
And Ava is already wobbling. She told Nina’s daughter Willow Cain at the Metro Court Gardens that if Nina is being framed, she may know by whom. On Thursday, Ava confronts Sonny. Our look at the secret affair that blindsided Jordan lays out how this mess started.
What Are Sonny and Ric Planning on General Hospital?
ABC has not spelled out the plan, but the pieces on the board are plain. Sonny needs the Justine secret contained before Jordan decides what to do with it. Nina needs a defense that can stand up to the WSB. Reading between the lines, Ric is the one man who can see both fires at once, and the brothers are drawing up a battle plan rather than a peace treaty.
Then there is Pentonville. In ABC’s promo, an inmate warns Curtis Ashford to find a reason not to be in his cell after lunch, and three men close in on his cellmate Jenz Sidwell. Sonny is the man who disarmed Sidwell at the Jerome gallery in July. If Sidwell ends up hurt, don’t be surprised if every finger in town points at Sonny Corinthos, with Justine as the prosecutor stuck deciding what to do about it.
Tracy Goes Looking for Backup
Tracy enlists a new ally on Wednesday, and ABC is keeping the name under wraps. She reveals her agenda on Thursday, the same day Michael Corinthos and Drew put their cards on the table. My gut says Michael gets the call. He is a Quartermaine by blood, he beat Willow in court for custody in June, and Tracy has never been shy about using family when family is useful.
She has reasons to want muscle. Her granddaughter Brook Lynn Quartermaine was exposed as the driver who fled the Route 91 crash that left Jordan injured. On Tuesday, Justine told Jordan she will not file serious charges against Brook Lynn. With Jordan now holding Justine’s secret, that deal looks shaky, and Tracy knows it.
Drew, meanwhile, is keeping receipts. He takes note of an encounter between Harrison Chase and Willow, and this is not a man nursing a grudge. Willow shot him and kept him drugged for months with Nina’s help. She still holds the congressional seat that was his. He is building a file, and Chase just landed in it.
Elsewhere, Trina Robinson makes a big decision after firing Brook Lynn as her manager, and someone makes Kai Taylor an offer. My guess is Trina’s choice is about her music, since Curtis urged her not to quit when she visited him in Pentonville. Who is tempting Kai is anyone’s guess, and I suspect the offer comes with strings.
