General Hospital’s Cameron Mathison Loses Family Home in Devastating LA Wildfire

Cameron Mathison, who brings Drew Cain to life every day on General Hospital, faced heartbreaking real-life drama this week when his family home in Pasadena, California was destroyed by the raging Eaton wildfire.

A Family’s Devastating Loss

The 55-year-old actor shared gut-wrenching footage of his once-beautiful home reduced to smoldering rubble. Through the thick smoke and ash, the exterior walls barely stood as flames continued to consume what remained of the cherished family residence.

A Heart-Wrenching Update

“We are safe but this is what’s left of our beautiful home,” Mathison shared in an emotional update. “Our home where our kids were raised and where they wanted to raise their own someday.” The actor went on to thank concerned fans who had reached out to check on him and his family’s wellbeing.

A Treasured Family Home Lost

The property, which held countless precious memories, was purchased by Mathison and his now-estranged wife Vanessa Arevalo in 2012 for $1.672 million. The couple raised their two children there, making the loss especially painful for the entire family.

Widespread Devastation

Mathison‘s home wasn’t the only celebrity residence claimed by the relentless Pacific Palisades blaze. Fellow actors Adam Brody and Leighton Meester also lost their $6.5 million home to the fires, which continue to threaten properties throughout the Los Angeles area.

Looking Ahead

While the structure may be gone, Mathison remains grateful that his family is safe. The actor continues to send prayers to others affected by the devastating fires, showing his characteristic strength even in the face of such a personal tragedy.
