Chase Thinks He Just Cracked the Case
Harrison Chase has been obsessed with proving Michael Quartermaine shot Drew Cain on General Hospital. He got demoted for overstepping. His own wife told him he is not viewing the situation clearly. Dante reminded him that in the Quartermaine house, they are family, not cops and suspects.
Chase did not listen to any of them.
On Wednesday’s episode, Harrison Chase overheard Molly say that Michael had no means of getting into Drew’s house. So Chase waited until Michael left his keys on the kitchen table, pocketed them, drove to Drew’s house, and tried them in the front door.
One of them worked.
Chase thinks he just found proof that Michael could access Drew’s house on the night of the shooting. He thinks he is one step closer to nailing Michael for attempted murder. He thinks he is about to be the hero who solves this case.
He has no idea he just walked directly into Willow Tait’s trap.

Willow Planted That Key
Here is what Chase does not know.
The day before he stole those keys, Willow Tait was at Miller & Davis for a custody negotiation with Michael. While Michael was distracted, Willow slipped Drew’s house key off her own keychain and slid it onto Michael’s.
She planted the evidence. She created the means. She handed the PCPD exactly what they needed to charge Michael for a crime he did not commit.
And now Chase — the man who has made it his personal mission to destroy Michael — just verified that the planted key works. He tested it himself. He broke into Drew’s house with it. He can now testify that Michael had access to the property.
Chase is not solving a crime. He is completing Willow’s frame job FOR her.
Brook Lynn Tried to Warn Him
The saddest part of all of this is that Brook Lynn saw it coming.
She told Chase he was so locked in on Michael that he was not viewing the situation clearly. She pointed out that there are plenty of other possible suspects. She reminded him that he is connected to Michael too, so his obsession looks personal.
Chase did not care. He stormed out of Bobbie’s and went straight to the Quartermaine kitchen to steal Michael’s keys.
His own wife told him he was making a mistake, and he ignored her. Now he is about to help send an innocent man to prison while the actual shooter — Willow Tait — walks free with custody of the children.
Wiley Saw Everything
Here is where it gets even messier.
After Chase tested the key at Drew’s house, he went back to the Quartermaine kitchen and placed Michael’s keys on the floor by the counter — as if Michael had dropped them. He was trying to cover his tracks.
But Wiley walked into the kitchen and SAW him.
A child just witnessed Chase planting evidence. A child who loves his father. A child who has no idea what any of this means but will absolutely remember that Uncle Chase was messing with Daddy’s keys on the kitchen floor.
This is a ticking time bomb. When this all falls apart — and it WILL fall apart — Chase is going to have to explain why he stole Michael’s keys, broke into Drew’s house, and then tried to make it look like nothing happened. He is going to have to explain it to Dante. To Brook Lynn. To the PCPD.
And worst of all, he is going to have to live with the fact that his obsession helped Willow get away with attempted murder.
The Real Shooter Is Laughing
While Chase is running around playing detective, Willow Tait is at home injecting her paralyzed husband with drugs to keep him in a locked-in state. She has already confessed to Drew’s face that she shot him. She told him her only regret is that he did not die.
Drew knows everything. He cannot move. He cannot speak. He cannot tell anyone.
And now the one cop who is actively investigating the case is unknowingly building the prosecution’s case against the WRONG person using evidence that the ACTUAL shooter planted.
Willow could not have planned this better if she tried.
Actually — she did plan it. And it is working perfectly.
