Word on the street — and by street, I mean the spoiler forums I obsessively refresh every five minutes — is that Jason might be in CROATIA when this attack happens. Croatia! Of all places!

Now, if you’re a longtime viewer like me (been watching since the ’90s, not even ashamed), you KNOW Croatia isn’t just some random vacation spot for Jason. That’s where he has history with Britt Westbourne. That’s where some of his mercenary past comes back to haunt him. And apparently, Anna Devane is the one urging him to go there on some kind of investigative mission?

This is giving me MAJOR international conspiracy vibes, and I am HERE for the drama while simultaneously TERRIFIED for Jason!

Can we talk about the timing here? Because I’m having some SERIOUS thoughts…

Drew gets shot in Port Charles — boom, boom, two bullets to the back while Trina and Kai are literally hiding in his house. (Side note: are they witnesses? Suspects? I NEED ANSWERS!)

These aren’t random attacks, people! Someone is systematically going after BOTH Morgan/Cain twins, and I don’t care how much everyone hates Drew right now for being a complete villain (seriously, blackmailing Portia? Alienating Curtis? What happened to you, Drew?!) — this is BIGGER than his recent reign of terror as Congressman Cain.

What’s REALLY Behind These Attacks?

I’ve been doing some serious thinking (couldn’t sleep last night, thanks GH!), and here’s what’s keeping me up:

This has NOTHING to do with Drew’s current villain era. Think about it — why would someone who hates Drew for blackmailing Portia also want Jason dead in Croatia? Make it make sense!

No, this is about something the twins SHARE. Their bloodline. Their past. Maybe something from before their memories got all scrambled? (Remember that whole memory-mapping disaster? Still gives me nightmares.)

Could this be connected to:

• Jason’s mercenary days between 2021-2024?
• Some enemy from their shared past that neither remembers?
• That whole mysterious situation with Drew suddenly having memories he shouldn’t have? (Writers, EXPLAIN THAT PLEASE!)
• Someone trying to eliminate all Quartermaine heirs? (Monica’s health storyline has me worried…)

My Wild Theory (Hear Me Out!)

Okay, so I’m going full conspiracy theorist here, but what if…

What if the person who shot Drew wasn’t actually trying to kill HIM specifically? What if Drew was the bait to draw Jason out? Think about it — shoot the highly visible, politically connected twin in Port Charles where it makes headlines. Then when Jason inevitably investigates (because despite everything, they’re still brothers), you take YOUR REAL SHOT at the actually dangerous twin?

I mean, whoever this is came prepared with a SILENCER for Jason. That’s not impulse. That’s planning. That’s “I’ve been waiting for this moment” energy.

And Croatia? If that’s really where this goes down? That SCREAMS international criminal organization or someone from Jason’s mercenary past with a serious axe to grind.

The Million Dollar Questions

• Is John “Jagger” Cates behind this? (Jason’s been his unwilling informant, after all…)
• Could Sonny actually turn on Jason for the FBI betrayal? (Please no, my heart can’t take it!)

And can we talk about how this is going to affect everyone else? Carly’s going to lose her MIND when she finds out someone tried to kill Jason. Sam’s going to be caught between her past and present (again). Danny might lose both his father figures!

Whoever is behind these attacks has a bigger plan. You don’t go after BOTH Morgan twins unless you’re trying to accomplish something huge. And using a professional hitman with a silencer? This person has resources. They have connections. They have a vendetta that goes WAY deeper than Drew’s recent political corruption.

I’m calling it now — this connects back to something from BEFORE 2021. Something that’s been brewing in the shadows while we were all distracted by other drama.

And that gunman with the silencer? Just the tip of the iceberg.
