Jason Morgan Vows to Kill Cullum Before Leaving Port Charles Behind
General Hospital spoilers say Jason Morgan vowed to kill WSB Director Cullum before leaving. Will he follow through this summer?
JASON MORGAN REPORTEDLY MADE A CHILLING PROMISE TO SONNY โ AND ROSS CULLUM IS THE TARGET
TL;DR: Spoilers claim General Hospital’s Jason Morgan made a deadly vow to Sonny Corinthos before leaving Port Charles โ reportedly promising to personally handle WSB Director Ross Cullum. With Steve Burton confirmed for a summer return, the reckoning may already be scheduled.
The Vow That Should Have Cullum Very, Very Worried
Spoilers from Soap Opera News are sending shockwaves through the General Hospital fandom this week, and honestly? They should. According to the March 14 report, Jason Morgan didn’t quietly slip out of Port Charles. He reportedly looked Sonny Corinthos dead in the eye and made a promise that has all the makings of a blood oath โ vowing to personally handle WSB Director Ross Cullum before his return. And in Jason’s world, “handle” has never once meant a sit-down conversation.
Let’s be clear about what we actually know for certain. Steve Burton is on a confirmed temporary leave from the show, with his on-screen exit framed as a tactical retreat to Canada alongside Britt Westbourne to secure her Huntington’s medication from a safehouse while a chemical replication gets underway back in Port Charles. That part is iron-clad canon. What Soap Opera News is reporting โ that Jason left Sonny with a kill vow aimed squarely at Cullum โ remains a single-source spoiler, unconfirmed by ABC. But reading between the lines, this beat fits so perfectly into everything General Hospital has been building that it would be genuinely shocking if it weren’t at least partially true.
Think about what Cullum has done to earn this. He orchestrated the bombing of Sonny’s penthouse that left Michael Corinthos with third-degree burns severe enough to ship him to Germany for experimental treatment. He abducted former WSB Director Anna Devane and falsified federal records to cover his tracks. He has spent months extorting Britt by weaponizing her Huntington’s disease โ threatening to withhold her life-saving medication unless she completes Faison’s Final Project on deadline. He even threatened to have young Rocco Falconeri transferred to a lethal Swiss prison to guarantee compliance. This man declared open war on nearly everyone Jason has ever sworn to protect. A kill vow isn’t a character departure from Jason Morgan โ it is the only logical conclusion an enforcer with his history could reach.

A Summer Return With a Target Already Painted
Here’s where things get genuinely exciting. Steve Burton is confirmed to return to General Hospital this summer โ that comes straight from network sources, not fan speculation. So the question was never whether Jason Morgan comes back. The question is what he comes back for. If these spoilers hold, he is returning with a target already named and a vow already spoken to the one man in Port Charles whose word is as good as a signed contract. The summer of 2026 on GH could very well be structured entirely around Jason delivering on that promise.
But here is what makes this so deliciously complicated. Carly Spencer is currently in a deeply risky romantic alliance with Valentin Cassadine โ a man the WSB has active leverage over. Josslyn Jacks has transformed from a pre-med student into a live federal operative, hunting Sonny from the inside using clearances she earned by swearing revenge for Dex Heller’s murder. And Sonny is now holding a promise he may not be able to protect Jason from keeping. If Jason Morgan follows through on this vow, the fallout doesn’t stop at Cullum. It could detonate every fragile alliance currently holding Port Charles together. Something tells me this summer is going to hit like a freight train โ and Jason Morgan is the one behind the wheel. Does Cullum survive? Don’t hold your breath.
