JENZ SIDWELL TOLD PASCAL HE’D BE AT LUCAS JONES’ FUNERAL AND HE MEANT EVERY WORD ON GENERAL HOSPITAL

TL;DR: Jenz Sidwell casually discussed attending Lucas Jones’ funeral after Pascal reported that Lucas overheard too much on General Hospital. Lucas thinks he’s going to take Marco and leave Wyndemere. Sidwell is already planning what happens if he tries.

A Death Threat Disguised as Fatherly Concern

Pascal walked into that room and did what Pascal does best. He tattled. He told Jenz Sidwell that Lucas Jones had been eavesdropping on his conversation with Marco, and the doctor heard things he should not have heard. Pascal’s recommendation? Lucas needs to be dealt with. Sidwell’s response on General Hospital was not anger. It was not panic. It was something far worse. It was calm.

He told Pascal to watch over Lucas. And then he said that should Lucas convince Marco to leave Wyndemere, he would be there to console his son at Lucas’s funeral.

That is not a metaphor. That is not Sidwell being dramatic. That is a man who has already decided that Carly Spencer’s brother is expendable, and the only thing keeping Lucas alive right now is the fact that Marco hasn’t packed a bag yet.

Lucas Has No Idea What He’s Walking Into

Here’s what makes this so dangerous. Lucas thinks he has this figured out. He went to Carly and told her she was right about Marco. He told his sister he overheard things. He said Marco was in deep with Sidwell’s business. And then, in the same breath, he told Carly he wasn’t going to the police because he doesn’t want Marco arrested. He said Marco promised that once this current project is finished, he’ll distance himself from his father.

Lucas believes that. He genuinely believes he can take Marco’s hand and walk them both off Spoon Island and into a normal life. He told Carly his plan is to take Marco with him and get away from Sidwell. He has no idea that the man living upstairs already has his death on the table as a contingency plan. Pascal is watching. Sidwell is waiting. And Lucas is making plans like a man who thinks he has time.

Marco Is Trapped Between Love and Blood

This is where it gets devastating. Marco is not pretending to love Lucas. That much is clear. When Lucas confronted him about what he heard, Marco sobbed. He admitted he knew about his father threatening Britt. He told Lucas the only reason he got involved with Sidwell’s business was because Jenz promised him justice for his mother Natalia’s death at the hands of Sonny. He begged Lucas to stay. He said he’d stop. He said he wanted Lucas more than vengeance.

But Marco also said he had to wait until the project was finished. And that’s the trap. Because Sidwell isn’t going to let this project end quietly. Sidwell told Tracy he isn’t going anywhere. He dismissed her demands. He had Pascal thrown out of his own meeting. This is a man who is consolidating power on Spoon Island, and his son’s boyfriend knowing too much is a problem he has already decided how to solve.

Marco can love Lucas with everything he has. It won’t matter if his father decides Lucas is a liability before Marco can get them out.

Carly Spencer Is About to Lose Her Brother

And Carly knows. She told Lucas he can’t stay at Wyndemere one more day. She told him Marco was using him. She told him this was dangerous. And Lucas looked her in the eye and said he was staying because Marco promised to change. Carly has watched her brother walk back into a house where the man at the top of the food chain has already discussed his funeral arrangements, and there is nothing she can do about it because Lucas won’t listen.

If something happens to Lucas Jones, Carly will never forgive herself for not dragging him out of that house. And Port Charles will never forgive itself for not paying attention to the quiet monster living on Spoon Island, hosting Valentine’s Day dinners with Ava Jerome and Lucy Coe while planning a murder over breakfast.
