GH DOUBLE-CROSS QUEEN! Liesl Obrecht Is Building Faison’s Last Weapon on GH, but We Think She Has Other Plans
Liesl Obrecht is forced to finish Faison’s deadly weapon on GH as Anna returns, but we think a double-cross is already brewing in that lab.
LIESL OBRECHT HOLDS FAISON’S LEGACY IN HER HANDS AND ANNA SHOULD BE NERVOUS
TL;DR: On GH, Liesl Obrecht is being forced to finish Cesar Faison’s final project, a cold fusion weapon, right as Anna returns to town. We make the case that the good doctor is about to pull the ultimate double-cross, and that the target caught in the middle is the rival Faison always wanted.
The Project With a Dead Man’s Fingerprints All Over It
Let us set the table. Liesl Obrecht is locked away at Wyndemere, hunched over Britt’s genius blueprints, building the one thing she swore she was done with. The recaps call it what it is, Cesar Faison’s final project, a cold fusion prototype powerful enough to level a city.
She is not doing it for love this time. Ross Cullum dragged her there and is holding her son Cassius over her head to keep her cooperating. So she works. She tinkers. She tells everyone the machine will be ready in about a week.
But this is the woman who has spent a lifetime tangled in Faison’s web. And we have a feeling she is not building this weapon nearly as obediently as Cullum thinks.

The Rival Faison Always Wanted
Here is the history that makes our skin prickle. Faison never loved Liesl Obrecht. He loved Anna. He told her so, and the rejection broke something in the good doctor that never healed.
She once poisoned a bottle of beer meant for Anna at the Floating Rib, only for Duke to take the fatal sip instead. That is how deep this grudge runs. Faison’s shadow and Anna’s pulse have been on a collision course for over a decade.
So our prediction? With Anna back in town and Faison’s last invention humming to life in the same week, the universe is practically begging for these two women to be slammed back into each other’s orbit.
Why We Think the Double-Cross Is Already in Motion
Now for the part that has us obsessed. Josslyn has already whispered the magic words to Obrecht down in that lab, finish the project, but make sure it fails. A seed has been planted, and Liesl Obrecht is exactly the kind of operator to let it bloom on her own terms.
Because here is what Cullum forgot. Every time someone has tried to weaponize this woman, she has eventually turned on them. She turned on Faison when Duke got in her ear. She has aimed her venom wherever it served her family. Cassius is the one card that matters to her now, and a working weapon in Cullum’s hands keeps her son in a cage.
A broken prototype, on the other hand, changes everything. We think Obrecht is going to sabotage Faison’s masterpiece, burn his legacy to ash, and walk away holding all the leverage.
The Wild Card Named Anna
And this is where it gets delicious. What if the sabotage is not the whole plan? What if Obrecht, of all people, decides the way to finally bury Faison’s ghost is to protect the very woman he loved?
It would be the twist of the season. The doctor who once tried to kill Anna choosing to shield her from the fallout of Faison’s final scheme, not out of friendship, but to prove she was always the smarter, stronger one. These two have grudgingly teamed up before, and history loves a rerun.
So here is our bet. The weapon fails, Cullum loses his grip, and the woman everyone underestimates ends up the only one left standing.
So do YOU think Obrecht sabotages the weapon, and would she ever lift a finger to save Anna? Drop your verdict in the comments and tell us.
Team Trust the Doctor or Team She’ll Burn It All Down, Port Charles?
Here is the real debate, and only you can settle it. Is Liesl Obrecht secretly the hero who blows up Faison’s last weapon, or is she playing a longer game that puts Anna right back in the crosshairs? After everything these two have survived, would you bet against either of them? Take your side over on our Facebook page and let the whole room hear it.
