LUCAS JONES IS NOT GRIEVING AND PORT CHARLES IS NOT READY

TL;DR: Lucas Jones spoke to Marco Rios before the funeral and vowed to avenge his death on General Hospital. He told Lucy he is not done with Port Charles while staring at Jenz Sidwell across the church. He refused Carly’s offer to stay at the Metro Court and chose Wyndemere instead. “What I need is to stay close to Jenz. For now.” Lucas Jones is not in Port Charles to grieve. He is here to finish something.

Lucas Jones Made a Promise to a Dead Man

Before anyone arrived at All Saints Chapel, before the mourners filed in and the eulogies started, Lucas Jones stood alone with Marco Rios and made a promise. He spoke to his late boyfriend and vowed to avenge his death. Not honor. Not remember. Not carry his memory forward and live a beautiful life. Avenge.

That is not a man processing grief. That is a man loading a weapon with his words and pointing it at everyone responsible for the fact that Marco Rios is in a box instead of beside him. Lucas Jones buried the love of his life today. And somewhere between the eulogy and the last prayer, he stopped being the man Marco fell in love with and became something else entirely.

Lucas Jones made a vow at Marco’s funeral and it was not a goodbye. What do you think he is planning inside Wyndemere? Send your wildest theories to [email protected] and we just might publish them!

He Stared at Sidwell and Told Lucy He Is Not Done

Lucy Coe told Lucas she hoped he would not leave town again. Lucas glanced across the church at Jenz Sidwell, turned back to Lucy, and said he was not done with Port Charles yet.

That glance told the whole story. Lucas Jones was not looking at a grieving father across that church. He was looking at the man whose operation put everything in motion. Sidwell brought Ross Cullum to Port Charles. Cullum destroyed Britt Westbourne‘s medication. Cullum found Britt through the texts on Marco’s phone. Cullum killed Marco. And Sidwell is the man at the top of that chain, sitting in the front pew of a church, grieving a son whose death his own operation caused.

Lucas Jones knows all of it. He knows Cullum killed Marco. He knows Sidwell runs Cullum. And he is sitting in that church staring at the architect of his pain and telling Lucy Coe he is staying.

He Chose Wyndemere Over the Metro Court

Carly Spencer offered her brother a room at the Metro Court. That is what Carly does. She protects her people. She pulls them close. She offers shelter and control and the safety of being near someone who will burn down anything that threatens them.

Lucas Jones said no.

He told Carly he is staying at Wyndemere. He said Jenz is the only other person who feels the emptiness of Marco’s absence. And then he said the sentence that should make every person in Port Charles pay attention: “What I need is to stay close to Jenz. For now.”

For now. Two words that separate a grieving boyfriend from a man with a plan. Lucas Jones is not at Wyndemere for comfort. He is not there for shared grief. He is inside the most dangerous house in Port Charles because that is where the answers are. That is where Sidwell keeps his secrets. That is where Cullum’s operation was run from. And Lucas Jones, who saved Cullum’s life on an operating table without knowing this man murdered Marco, is sleeping under the same roof as the man who gave Cullum his orders.

From Loverboy to What, Exactly?

Here is the question that General Hospital is asking and not answering.

What is Lucas Jones becoming? He was Marco’s boyfriend. He was a doctor who saved lives. He was a man who left Port Charles to start fresh and came back because love brought him home. That man buried his boyfriend today. That man spoke to a casket and used the word avenge. That man chose to embed himself inside the home of the most dangerous man in the city rather than stay with his sister at the Metro Court.

Is Lucas Jones becoming a killer? He saved Cullum’s life without knowing Cullum murdered Marco. When he found out, he broke down in Britt’s office. He wept over the thought that he preserved Marco’s killer instead of being with Marco while he was dying. That kind of guilt does not heal cleanly. That kind of guilt festers and transforms and turns soft men into sharp ones.

Does Lucas Jones go after Cullum directly? Cullum is lying in a hospital bed. Lucas is a doctor with hospital access and the medical knowledge to do something undetectable. What if the man who saved Cullum’s life decides to take it back?

Does Lucas Jones go after Sidwell from inside Wyndemere? He is living under the man’s roof. He has access to the study, the files, the conversations that happen when Sidwell thinks nobody is listening. Pascal already caught him sneaking around and eavesdropping. Lucas is not being subtle. He does not care about being subtle. He cares about results.

Lucas Jones delivered a eulogy today that made Ava Jerome compliment him. He stared at Sidwell across a church. He vowed to avenge a dead man. And he chose to live inside the castle of the man who set all of it in motion. That is not grief. That is a mission. And the man who started this week as Marco’s loverboy is ending it as something Port Charles has never seen from him before.

Is Lucas Jones about to cross a line he cannot come back from? And what does he find inside Wyndemere that changes everything? Sound off below because this version of Lucas Jones is brand new and we are watching every move!

WATCH THIS: We’ll never stop being heartbroken for Lucas…

@soapoperamag I will never stop being heartbroken for Lucas He truly thought he found "the one" only to lose Marco much too soon. Now, he'll be living under Sidwell's thumb and I can't see this going well. #GH #GeneralHospital ♬ original sound – Soap Opera Magazine
