Monday, June 9, 2025 is going to destroy us all.

Lucky sits down with his sister Lulu (played by the incredible Alexa Havins) to break the news that he’s leaving Port Charles. And Lulu’s reaction? “For the record, I hate this.”

Can you blame her? The woman just woke up from a years-long coma, and now her brother — the one person who should understand the Spencer family legacy better than anyone — is abandoning ship because of a broken heart. Their differing life philosophies have always been an issue. Lucky has that wanderlust in his blood (very Luke-like, if you ask me), while Elizabeth is firmly rooted in Port Charles with her role as Head Nurse and her family obligations.

But here’s what kills me: Lucky admitted it straight up. He told Elizabeth that being in town, knowing they can’t be together, just hurts too much. Sometimes love isn’t enough, and watching these two realize that has been pure soap opera gold. Painful, devastating, tear-your-heart-out gold.

Major Storyline 2: Elizabeth Turns to an Unexpected Friend

While Lucky prepares to shatter his sister’s heart, Elizabeth is dealing with her own emotional fallout.

And who does she turn to? Lucas Jones!

This friendship between Elizabeth and Lucas (the always wonderful Van Hansis) has become one of the show’s unexpected highlights. Seriously, who saw this coming? But it WORKS. There’s something so genuine about their scenes together. Elizabeth needs someone who gets it — someone who won’t judge her for choosing stability over adventure. And Lucas, having been through his own share of heartbreak, is the perfect confidant.

Mark my words: this friendship is going to be crucial for Elizabeth moving forward. She’s going to need all the support she can get, especially with the rumors swirling about potential new romances on her horizon. (And yes, I’m looking at you, Jason Morgan!)

Major Storyline 3: Cody’s Surprising Proposal to Carly

Now THIS is where things get really interesting!

Word on the street is this has everything to do with baby Daisy. For those keeping track, little Daisy is Sasha’s newborn daughter, which makes her Cody’s cousin (through the whole Mac/Robert/Holly connection) AND Carly’s granddaughter (through Michael).

What exactly is Cody proposing? The details are still murky, but knowing Cody, he’s probably trying to ensure his little cousin has the family support she needs. Maybe he wants to be more involved in Daisy’s life? Or perhaps he’s concerned about Sasha raising the baby alone and wants Carly’s help?

Whatever it is, you KNOW Carly isn’t going to make it easy. That woman doesn’t trust anyone easily, especially when it comes to her family. But Cody approaching her shows some serious guts. Major Storyline 4: Kristina’s Moment of Inspiration

In the midst of all this drama, Kristina Corinthos-Davis gets struck by inspiration.

Now, with Kristina, inspiration could mean ANYTHING. Is she inspired to take over more responsibilities at Charlie’s Pub? Is she getting ideas about her own future after watching all these family dynamics play out? Or could this inspiration be related to the ongoing fallout from the Ava trial and her testimony?

Knowing Kristina (and Kate Mansi has been KILLING it in this role), whatever inspiration strikes is going to shake things up. She’s never been one to have an idea and sit on it quietly. When Kristina gets inspired, EVERYONE in her orbit better watch out!

Speculation & What’s Next

So where does all this leave us?

Lucky’s departure is going to send ripples through Port Charles. The Spencer family is already fractured with Lucky leaving again, Nikolas still MIA, and Spencer gone. Poor Laura is watching her family scatter to the winds once more. And Lulu? She’s going to need serious support as she continues recovering from her coma without her brother by her side.
