But Willow does not lose gracefully, and a woman who already shot her ex-husband and let someone else take the fall for it is not going to spend her days quietly folding laundry in a gatehouse. Expect her to treat this arrangement as a temporary setback rather than a real defeat, and expect her to start looking for an exit strategy almost immediately.

The real question is what Willow does with all that free time and proximity now that she is living practically on top of him. She has a front-row seat to monitor Michael’s every move, and if she starts sniffing around for a way to discredit Kai Taylor and Trina Robinson’s affidavits, whether that means intimidation, a lawyer with a very flexible moral code, or something even darker, this fight is far from over. Watch for her to start cozying up to unexpected allies, whether that is Nina Reeves, someone with an axe to grind against the Quartermaines, or an old contact who owes her a favor she is finally ready to cash in.

There is also the small matter of what happens if Willow decides the gatehouse is not far enough away to keep her quiet. Living on the property means she has access, opportunity, and a front-row view of every weakness in Michael’s routine, and daytime villains have done far worse with far less motivation than a shooting charge hanging over their heads.
