TRACY’S ABOUT TO LIE UNDER OATH FOR MICHAELโ€”BUT HE WON’T EVEN ADMIT HE NEEDS SAVING

TL;DR: General Hospital spoilers for the week of December 16-20, 2025 reveal Tracy Quartermaine confronted Michael Corinthos in the Quartermaine kitchen and flat-out told him she’d commit perjury to protect himโ€”even though she’s not convinced he’s innocent of shooting Drew Cain. Michael’s response? He doesn’t need protection. Meanwhile, an eavesdropper overheard the whole conversation, and Detective Chase is making arrests Friday. Michael’s pride might just land him in handcuffs.

The Quartermaine Kitchen Showdown Nobody Saw Coming

Okay, so let’s talk about what went down on Tuesday, December 16 in the Quartermaine kitchen. Tracy Quartermaineโ€”the woman who once ran ELQ with an iron fist and has zero patience for nonsenseโ€”pulled Michael aside for what can only be described as the most uncomfortable family intervention in recent memory.

She told him point-blank that she saw his car parked outside Drew Cain’s house the night Drew got shot. TWICE. In the back. And here’s where it gets wild: Tracy said she would lie under oath to protect Michael. Commit perjury. Risk her own freedom. But in the same breath, she admitted she wasn’t sure Michael was actually innocent.

Can we just sit with that for a second? The matriarch of the Quartermaine family is willing to go to prison for her grandson, and his response was basically “thanks but I’m good.” Michael told Tracy he doesn’t need protection. He’s handling it. Everything’s fine.

Except everything is NOT fine. Because while Michael was busy being defensive and proud and very Michael about the whole situation, someone was listening. An eavesdropper heard the entire exchange. Every word. Tracy confessing she witnessed Michael at the crime scene, Michael refusing helpโ€”all of it. And whoever that shadowy figure is, they just became the prosecution’s dream witness.

Michael’s False Alibi Is Crumbling Faster Than a Sandcastle at High Tide

Let’s back up for context because this mess has been brewing since September 2, 2025 when Drew Cain got shot. Willow was immediately the prime suspect because, well, she was found at the scene and she’d just lost custody of her kids to Michael in the world’s nastiest divorce trial. But Detective Harrison Chase wasn’t convinced it was that simple.

Turns out Michael had motive too. A LOT of motive. He and Drew have been at war ever since Drew started an affair with Willow while she was still married to Michael. Drew basically destroyed Michael’s marriage, cost him his family, and then had the audacity to marry Willow and try to play stepdad to Wiley and Amelia. So yeah, if anyone had a reason to want Drew dead, it was Michael Corinthos.

And then there’s the alibi situation. Michael claimed he was with his assistant Jacinda Brackenโ€”who also happens to be an escortโ€”the night of the shooting. The problem? That alibi was fake. It was set up by Nina Reeves and Portia Robinson as part of a completely separate scheme, but Michael hijacked it for his own defense. And THEN, because General Hospital never does anything halfway, Michael and Jacinda’s fake relationship became real. Nina literally walked in on them having sex in her office. Multiple times. On December 11 AND December 12.

So now Michael’s got a sexual relationship with the woman who’s supposed to be his alibi witness, which is going to look GREAT in court. (That’s sarcasm, in case it wasn’t clear.) Nina even warned him that sleeping with a sex worker while fighting for custody of his children was maybe not the best look. But did Michael listen? Of course not.

Pride Comes Before the Fallโ€”and the Arrest

Here’s what makes this whole situation so frustrating: Michael’s pride is doing more damage than any actual evidence. Whether he shot Drew or not almost doesn’t matter anymore because his behavior is screaming “guilty person trying to hide something.”

He won’t explain where he really was that night. He won’t accept help from Tracy, who’s literally offering to tank her own credibility to save him. He’s doubling down on an alibi that everyone knows is fake, all while sleeping with the woman who’s supposed to corroborate his story. And he’s doing all of this while Detective Chase builds a case that could put him away for attempted murder.

The “new evidence” the DA’s office has reportedly obtained is likely traffic camera footage or some kind of surveillance that places Michael’s car at the sceneโ€”exactly what Tracy already admitted to seeing. Michael knows this. He KNOWS the walls are closing in. But he’s still out here acting like he’s got everything under control.

And Friday? Friday, December 19, Detective Chase is scheduled to make a pair of arrests. The smart money says one of those arrests has Michael’s name on it. Maybe Jacinda too, since they both lied to police.

What Happens to Wiey and Amelia If Michael Gets Arrested?

Let’s talk about the stakes here because they’re absolutely catastrophic. Michael fought dirty to win sole custody of Wiley and Amelia back in June 2025. There were even rumors that he or the Quartermaines bribed the judge. He’s kept those kids away from Willow ever since, convinced that she and Drew are dangerous influences.

But if Michael gets arrested for shooting Drewโ€”or even just for lying to police and obstructionโ€”he loses custody. Immediately. Those kids would go straight to Willow and Drew. The exact outcome Michael has spent months trying to prevent would happen anyway, except now his children would know their father is in jail.

Willow married Drew on December 10, specifically to strengthen her position. Michael told Wiley about the marriage himself, promising his son he wouldn’t have to move out of the Quartermaine mansion. But if Michael’s in custody? That promise means nothing. Wiley and Amelia would be living with Drew Cain, and there’s not a thing Michael could do about it from behind bars.

The irony is almost poetic. Michael’s entire strategy has been about maintaining control and projecting strength. But his refusal to be vulnerable, to ask for help, to admit he’s in over his headโ€”that’s what’s going to destroy him. Not the DA. Not the evidence. His own pride.

Tracy sees it. She’s trying to throw him a lifeline. But Michael would rather drown than admit he needs someone to pull him out.
