CODY BELL SAYS YES, MOLLY LANSING-DAVIS SAYS NO — AND NOW THE WHOLE QUARTERMAINE STABLES KNOWS ABOUT IT

TL;DR: Molly Lansing-Davis and Cody Bell’s New Year’s Eve hookup takes an awkward turn when James West innocently asks if she’s Cody’s girlfriend — and they give completely opposite answers. The morning-after glow just got complicated on General Hospital.

One Question Changes Everything

Leave it to a kid to blow up your entire situationship with one innocent question.

General Hospital fans watched Molly Lansing-Davis and Cody Bell finally cross the line on New Year’s Eve, and honestly? It was romantic. Cody decorated the Quartermaine stables for their celebration, but when Molly got called into work on a plea deal for ADA Justine Turner, he didn’t sulk. He brought the party to her. At her boss’s office. And then they rang in the new year in a very adult way — in Turner’s office, no less.

Bold move. Possibly career-ending if anyone finds out. But hey, that’s love in Port Charles!

The morning after found the couple at the stables, all pancakes and pillow talk and zero regrets. Molly Lansing-Davis even admitted she had no second thoughts about their night together. Cody was cooking breakfast like a man who’d just won the lottery. Everything was perfect.

Then Felicia Scorpio showed up with James for a rescheduled riding lesson.

James West: The Ultimate Truth Serum

Here’s the thing about kids in Port Charles — they ask the questions adults are too scared to touch. And James? He went straight for the jugular.

First, he wanted to know why Cody was carrying Molly. Then he noticed she was wearing Cody’s shirt. You could practically see the gears turning in that little head. Finally, James dropped the bomb: “Is Molly your girlfriend?”

Cody’s answer? “Yes.”

Molly’s answer? “No.”

At the exact same time.

The awkwardness was PALPABLE. Felicia stood there witnessing the whole disaster unfold, probably mentally composing her text to Mac about this mess. And poor James just created the most uncomfortable “define the relationship” moment in Quartermaine stables history.

Why Molly Can’t Say Yes

Look, Molly Lansing-Davis isn’t rejecting Cody. She literally said she had no regrets about their night together. The issue isn’t feelings — it’s labels.

Think about where Molly is right now. Her mother Alexis is embroiled in a high-stakes legal battle. Her boss’s office is now the scene of her romantic debut with Cody. Her entire professional life exists in a pressure cooker, and adding “girlfriend of a reformed con man with a complicated past” to her resume feels risky.

Cody Bell, meanwhile, has spent the last year becoming a legitimate member of the Scorpio family. He’s Mac’s biological son. He’s got a real job at the stables. He’s uncle to James and a genuine part of Port Charles society now. When he said “yes” to that girlfriend question, he meant it. He’s ready to be official.

But Molly? She wants to control the narrative. She wants to decide when this goes public. She wants the private sanctuary of whatever this is before it becomes everyone else’s business.

Too late for that now.

The Office Hookup Time Bomb

Can we talk about the fact that they slept together IN HER BOSS’S OFFICE? ADA Justine Turner’s office, specifically. The same Turner who’s been prosecuting cases with ruthless aggression.

If this ever gets out — and in Port Charles, secrets ALWAYS get out — Molly’s professional reputation could take a serious hit. Sleeping with someone in your supervisor’s office while handling her caseload isn’t exactly career-building behavior. And Cody’s past as a con man won’t help if Turner decides to make this an issue.

Something tells me this is a ticking time bomb. And the explosion is going to be spectacular.

What Happens Now?

Felicia witnessed everything. She’s going to tell Mac. Mac will probably have opinions. The stables, which Molly thought was her escape from the chaos of her life, just became ground zero for gossip.

The real question is whether Molly can reconcile her need for control with the fact that Cody Bell just declared her his girlfriend in front of witnesses. That cat’s not going back in the bag. And honestly? Part of her probably doesn’t want it to.

These two have been building toward this moment for months. Tracy pushed Cody to stop hedging. Kristina and Danny encouraged Molly to be honest about her feelings. The slow burn finally caught fire on New Year’s Eve.

Now they just need to agree on what to call it.
