Chloe Lanier Wants Nelle Benson to Crawl Back From That Cliff and Finish What Willow Tait Started on General Hospital
Chloe Lanier says Nelle Benson is too tough to be dead on General Hospital and wants to team up with Willow Tait to take down Michael Corinthos.

NELLE BENSON’S PORTRAYER SAYS HER CHARACTER IS “TOO TOUGH TO BE DEAD” AND WANTS TO TEAM UP WITH WILLOW TAIT
TL;DR: Chloe Lanier says Nelle Benson isn’t done with Port Charles on General Hospital. She wants Nelle to come back unredeemed and team up with twin sister Willow Tait to destroy Michael Corinthos. Given what Willow has already done on her own, we think Port Charles would never recover.
Nelle Benson’s Portrayer Is Not Ready to Stay Dead
People die in Port Charles all the time. They also come back with alarming regularity. So when Chloe Lanier tells Soaps.com that Nelle Benson is “too tough to be dead,” every General Hospital fan should sit up and pay attention.
Nelle fell off a cliff after a confrontation with Carly Spencer back in 2020. Nina Reeves buried the body. Case closed, right? Except this is the same town where Jason Morgan has died more times than most people change their passwords. Nelle has already haunted Nina in her dreams. And now her portrayer is openly campaigning for a comeback.
“She’s probably set up camp at the bottom of that cliff, living her best life until Cody comes and finds her,” Lanier joked. But the real bombshell wasn’t the joke. It was what she said next.

Chloe Lanier Wants Nelle to Team Up With Willow Against Michael
Here’s the quote that should send a chill down every Corinthos fan’s spine. Lanier said she and Katelyn MacMullen talk about working together “every time we see each other.” And the storyline Lanier pitched? Nelle and Willow teaming up to take down Michael Corinthos and the entire Corinthos family.
Let that sink in for a second. Twin sisters. Both daughters of Nina Reeves. Both with personal vendettas against Michael. Both willing to do whatever it takes to get what they want. And Lanier made it clear she doesn’t want Nelle redeemed. “Her grit is what makes her entertaining and fun to watch,” she said.
Willow is already terrorizing Port Charles on her own. She shot Drew Cain and told him to his face while he lay helpless. She planted Drew’s house key on Michael’s keychain to frame him. She lied under oath. She threatened Jacinda Bracken and used her past to manipulate custody proceedings. She told Kristina Corinthos-Davis to her face that she’d rethink who Alexis Davis exposes Scout to.
That’s Willow working alone. Now imagine Nelle standing next to her.
Nelle Has the One Weapon Willow Doesn’t
Here’s where the speculation gets truly dangerous. Willow is fighting for custody of Wiley and Amelia. She’s scheming, planting evidence, and manipulating everyone around her. But there’s one card she can never play, because it doesn’t belong to her.
It belongs to Nelle.
Nelle Benson is Wiley’s biological mother. Not his stepmother. Not his father’s ex-wife. His actual mother. If Nelle walked back into Port Charles alive, every custody arrangement Michael has fought for would be thrown into chaos overnight. A biological mother returning from the dead with a claim to her child? No family court in the country would ignore that. Michael could find himself fighting a war on two fronts, with Willow coming for custody through the courts and Nelle coming for it through blood.
And the Corinthos name that once protected Michael? Nelle knows every skeleton in that family’s closet. She was married to Michael. She carried his child. She watched the inner workings of that empire from the inside. If she came back with receipts and Willow came with planted evidence, Michael wouldn’t stand a chance.
Nina Reeves Would Lose Her Mind
Let’s not forget the mother in the middle of this. Nina Reeves already carries enormous guilt over Nelle. She didn’t know Nelle was her daughter until it was too late. She buried her. She’s watched Willow spiral into darkness and has been powerless to stop it.
Now picture Nina getting a phone call. Her dead daughter is alive. And she’s teaming up with the living daughter who is currently holding Drew Cain hostage in his own home. Nina would be caught between two daughters who have both chosen destruction over redemption, and there would be absolutely nothing she could do about it.
Port Charles Has Never Seen Twin Evil Like This
Willow Tait has proven over the past several months that she is capable of things nobody thought possible from the woman who once baked cookies at the Quartermaine mansion. She shot a man. She framed her ex-husband. She lied to judges and lawyers and her own children.
But Nelle Benson? Nelle tried to kill Michael on their honeymoon. She switched babies. She manipulated every person who ever tried to love her. And Chloe Lanier says that’s exactly the version of Nelle she’d bring back. No redemption. No softening. Pure, unredeemed chaos standing shoulder to shoulder with the twin sister who’s already set Port Charles on fire.
Lanier called Nelle “human.” She also called her entertaining. General Hospital fans would probably use stronger language. But one thing is certain: if the show ever picks up the phone and calls Chloe Lanier back, Michael Corinthos better start sleeping with one eye open. Because the Benson-Tait twins would be the most terrifying duo Port Charles has ever seen, and we are absolutely here for it.

WATCH THIS: Willow really could use a hand here…
@soapoperamag The GH spoilers have me shook… Willow's keeping Drew "in check" and Michael "on the margins"? That woman has one man drugged and paralyzed and the other walking straight into a frame job. She's running circles around both of them. #GeneralHospital ♬ original sound – Soap Opera Magazine
