ROSS CULLUM IS AWAKE AND EVERY LIE PORT CHARLES BUILT IS ABOUT TO BE TESTED

TL;DR: Ross Cullum is off the ventilator on General Hospital. Lucas Jones, the man who saved his life, asked him who shot him. Josslyn Jacks was in his room minutes earlier trying to finish what Britt started and got interrupted. Charlotte Cassadine is on the bridge theorizing that someone else shot Cullum and Jason is being framed. Rocco Falconeri almost slipped up in front of his best friends. And the cover up that Jason Morgan built, Nathan West managed, and Lulu Spencer swore her son to silence over is about to face the one thing nobody planned for: Ross Cullum remembering.

Lucas Asked the Question and Port Charles Held Its Breath

Lucas Jones took Ross Cullum off the ventilator. The man he saved on the operating table, the man whose bullet he removed, the man whose life he preserved without knowing that this same man stabbed Marco Rios in the chest and left him to bleed out in the dark. Lucas brought Cullum back to consciousness and then looked at him and asked if he remembered who shot him.

That question is a grenade.

If Cullum says Jason Morgan, the cover up holds. Jason is already in WSB custody. The story Britt Westbourne told, the statement she gave, and the sacrifice Jason made all remain intact. Rocco Falconeri stays protected.

If Cullum says anything else, everything falls apart.

Josslyn Was in That Room Minutes Before

Josslyn Jacks was standing over Cullum’s bed looking at the IV bag, trying to determine if Britt had successfully injected him, when Cullum opened his eyes. She panicked. He closed them again. She started putting on a latex glove. And then Lucas walked in and found her there.

Josslyn covered. She said she wanted to see the man Jason was accused of shooting. Lucas accepted it. But the timeline is devastating. Minutes before Lucas took Cullum off the ventilator and asked him who pulled the trigger, Josslyn Jacks was in that room with a latex glove on her hand and the intention of making sure Ross Cullum never answered any questions at all.

She could not finish what Britt started. Cullum is now awake, conscious, breathing on his own, and being asked the one question that could destroy every person connected to this cover up.

Charlotte Is Theorizing Her Way to the Truth

Charlotte Cassadine sat on a bridge with Danny Morgan and Rocco and said the words that should terrify Lulu Spencerand Nathan West: what if someone else shot Cullum and Jason is being framed?

Charlotte Cassadine is pulling at threads. She is smart. She is relentless. She is her father’s daughter in every way that matters when it comes to seeing through a story that does not add up. And the person sitting next to her on that bridge, the person she promised to support, the person she swore she and Rocco would be there for, is the boy whose secret she is circling without knowing it.

Rocco is right there. Listening to his best friend theorize about the truth he is carrying. And he cannot say a word.

Rocco Cannot Keep His Mouth Shut

Rocco Falconeri almost gave it away. He asked Danny if Jason had told him he was leaving town with Britt. Danny and Charlotte both clocked it. How did Rocco know Britt was involved? Rocco had to scramble and say he heard Britt was at Pier 55 also.

He covered. Barely. But the slip happened and it happened in front of Charlotte, who is already building a theory about someone else being the shooter, and Danny, who is desperate for answers about his father. Rocco is a teenager carrying the weight of a shooting, a cover up, and the guilt of knowing his best friend’s father is in a WSB prison because of what he did. That weight is too heavy for an adult. It is crushing a kid.

Lulu told him never to tell anyone. Nathan told Lulu not to let Jason’s sacrifice be in vain. Jason wiped the gun and took the fall. Everyone has done their part to protect Rocco. And Rocco is on a bridge asking questions he should not be asking and slipping details he should not be slipping because he is a teenager and teenagers are not built to carry this.

Charlotte is theorizing. Rocco is crumbling. Cullum is awake. Lucas is asking questions. And the cover up that Jason Morgan built with his silence is being tested from every direction by people who have no idea they are all pulling on the same thread.

Do you think Ross Cullum remembers who really shot him? And how long before Charlotte figures out the truth? Sound off below because this cover up is cracking and Port Charles is not ready!
