GH DEADLY SHOCKER! Jack Brennan Survived a “Stroke” He Did Not Have and Ross Cullum Plans to Finish the Job
Cullum told Sidwell at Wyndemere on General Hospital that Jack Brennan cannot come out of his coma. Ross Cullum is going to make sure of it.

ROSS CULLUM ALREADY DECIDED JACK BRENNAN CANNOT WAKE UP
TL;DR: Jack Brennan is unconscious in the ICU on General Hospital after accidentally being dosed with Drew Cain’s locked-in medication. Sidwell told Ross Cullum about it. Cullum’s response was that Jack cannot come out of it. He already tried to kill Jack once. Now the hospital has made it easier.
Cullum Said the Quiet Part Out Loud at Wyndemere
Ross Cullum had a problem at Wyndemere today on General Hospital. Jenz Sidwell walked in and told him that Jack Brennan had been accidentally dosed with Drew Cain‘s medication and was now lying in the ICU. Sidwell, ever the worrier, fretted about the complications that would arise once Jack woke up.
Cullum was not worried. Cullum was efficient. Cullum said, Then he can’t come out of it.
That is a man plotting the murder of a sitting federal agent in a single sentence.

Jack Was Already on Cullum’s Kill List
Earlier in the day, Cullum stood at Jack’s bedside and told the unconscious WSB director that the stroke may have saved his life, because Cullum had been planning to kill him anyway. That detail is not subtle. That is a man confessing a murder plot to a body that cannot answer back. The only thing the medication has changed is the method.
Before the dosing, Cullum had to find a window, evade Jack’s security detail, and execute a hit on an active federal officer who could fight back. Now, Cullum has a sleeping body in a hospital bed with no surveillance team, no resistance, and no consciousness. The hardest part of the original plan was the part that has now been eliminated, and Cullum didn’t even have to pay for it.
Cullum Has the Worst Possible Access to Jack’s Room
Ross Cullum is the WSB director in Port Charles. He has badge access to every floor of GH. He can walk into the ICU and identify himself as Jack’s supervising agent and the staff will not ask twice. He has already done it. He visited Jack in his room today on what looked like an official check-in. Nobody flagged it.
That is the entire problem with letting the man who wants you dead also be the man in charge of your federal protection. There is no chain of command above him to question his visits. There is no nurse who can tell him to leave. And there is no security tape that he cannot get pulled, because he has the credentials to pull tape.
Jack has the best protection in the WSB and the worst protection in Port Charles, because they are the same protection.
Lucas Jones Is the Only Person Standing in the Way
Cullum brought paperwork today identifying himself as a supervising agent. Lucas Jones brought paperwork identifying himself as Jack’s medical proxy. The two documents collided at the nurses’ station and the temperature of the entire floor dropped twenty degrees.
Lucas already suspects Cullum killed his husband. Lucas has been quietly building that case with Britt Westbourne for weeks. And Lucas is now the legal decision maker for a patient that Cullum has openly said cannot wake up. The collision course is set. Either Lucas refuses Cullum access, or Cullum finds a workaround. Either way, somebody is going to do something they cannot take back, and Jack’s pulse is the thing being negotiated.
What Happens When Jack Stops Breathing
The setup is already in place. A patient who has been declared neurologically compromised. A medical proxy with a vendetta against the suspect. A drug nobody at the hospital has identified. And a federal director who has stated, in writing-adjacent terms, that the patient cannot wake up.
When Jack Brennan dies in his ICU bed in the next two weeks, the official cause will be his stroke. The actual cause will be Ross Cullum walking past a nurses’ station with a syringe, a smile, and a federal badge. Lucas will know. Britt will know. Nina Reeves will probably figure it out and have her first useful moment of this entire storyline. And the rest of Port Charles will hold a funeral for a man who was murdered in a public hospital by the agency that hired him.
This is what Ross Cullum told Wyndemere he intended to do. Now the show has to decide if anyone is going to stop him.
Is Lucas going to be able to keep Cullum away from Jack, or is the WSB about to lose its own director in his sleep? Drop your verdict in the comments on our Facebook page.
