GH FIXER ON THE PHONE! Sonny Corinthos Skipped the FBI, Bypassed the WSB, and Already Had Brick on the Job!
General Hospital Spoilers: Sonny Corinthos already had Brick on the phone before Dante and Lulu had finished arguing about the FBI.

SONNY CORINTHOS HIRED BRICK BEFORE DANTE HAD A PLAN
TL;DR: Lulu Spencer wanted to call the FBI on Britt. Dante told her the WSB would catch the scent and Cullum would have a kill order on Rocco before the paperwork was filed. While both parents spiraled on General Hospital, Sonny Corinthos walked in calm as Sunday morning and informed them he had already hired Brick. The Port Charles fixer is on the trail, the underworld is doing what the law cannot, and Rocco might actually come home alive.
The Fixer Was Called Before the Parents Finished Panicking
Sonny Corinthos does not panic in his living room. He picks up the phone. While Lulu Spencer was sobbing into her packed suitcases about whether to call the feds, and while Dante Falconeri was pacing his ex-wife’s living room trying to figure out how to find his son without lighting a flare for Ross Cullum to follow, Sonny was already three steps ahead. He had clocked the situation, run the math, and made the call. Brick was on the job. Sonny was not asking for permission. He was delivering the update.
That update was the most Port Charles thing imaginable. Sonny told Lulu she was already on Cullum’s radar. He told Dante that the second a Spencer-Falconeri moved publicly toward Rocco and Britt, the WSB director would be three minutes behind them. He told both parents the truth they did not want to hear, which is that the only way to get the kid back alive was through the men with no badge. Lulu and Dante looked at each other and agreed. It is the move. Brick is the move.

Why Brick Was Always the Right Call
Brick is not a cop. Brick does not need warrants. Brick does not show up on Cullum’s surveillance and Brick does not file paperwork that gets leaked back to Wyndemere by lunchtime. The man is the ghost specialist Sonny keeps on retainer for precisely the kind of operation where the law would get a child killed. Britt Westbourne is on a one-way flight to Berlin with a teenager and a fake passport, dying on borrowed time, with Cullum already getting a fresh lead on who put the bullet in his back. Bringing the FBI into that situation does not save Rocco. It frames him. Brick saves Rocco. Brick is the only person on the board who can.
The flex Sonny just pulled on his own son cannot be overstated either. Dante is the Police Commissioner of Port Charles. Dante runs the building Joe Fitzpatrick stamps arrest papers in. And his father, who has lost two grandchildren this year and is not losing a third, walked into the room and reminded everyone that the actual power in this city is on a burner phone two states over. Dante did not argue. Dante did not pull rank. Dante said yes because Dante knew his father was right.
Sonny Corinthos Is Running Three Wars at Once and Loving Every Second
Look at what is on Sonny Corinthos’s desk this week. He is plotting with Ric Lansing to take down Jenz Sidwellbecause Sidwell is shipping something dangerous out of Deception under Laura Collins‘s nose. He is having steamy interludes with Justine Turner above Charlie’s while telling her to prosecute the man dating her best friend. He is running an off-the-books extraction op for his ex-daughter-in-law’s son. And he is doing all of it in soft sweaters with that little smirk he saves for the days when everyone in Port Charles needs him and nobody can say it out loud. This is vintage Sonny. This is the Sonny who built the empire. This is the Sonny who reminds the canvas every five years that the man in the linen shirt is still the one holding the pieces.
Brick has not appeared on screen. Brick may not appear on screen. But the name landing in Lulu’s living room did exactly what Sonny needed it to do. It told her she has a chance. It told Dante his father came correct. It told the audience the real cavalry is already deployed. And it told Cullum, even if he does not know it yet, that the man hunting his asset is one Sonny Corinthos phone call ahead of him.
