SONNY AND JUSTINE BOTH GOT TOLD TO USE THE OTHER ONE AND THEY BOTH CAUGHT FEELINGS INSTEAD

TL;DR: Sonny Corinthos kissed Justine Turner on General Hospital and she slapped him and walked away. Then Jordan told Justine to use Sonny’s trust against him. Then Ric Lansing asked Sonny if maybe Justine was using HIM. Two people. Two handlers. One disaster waiting to happen.

Jordan Told Justine to Use Sonny and Ric Asked Sonny If Justine Is Playing Him

This is a Mr. and Mrs. Smith situation and nobody in Port Charles sees it coming. Justine Turner went to Jordan Ashford at the hatchet range and admitted she had done something “incredibly stupid and unprofessional” with Sonny Corinthos on General Hospital. She let her guard down. She opened up after a bad day. He offered a sympathetic ear and she kissed him back before slapping him and telling him it could never happen again. Jordan listened to all of that and told Justine to use the rapport she had built with Sonny to get him to lower his guard. Use his feelings. Use his trust. Use everything.

Meanwhile, across town, Sonny was unloading to Ric Lansing about the same kiss. Ric’s first concern was that Justine would accuse Sonny of harassment, but Sonny shut that down. She was ambitious but not corrupt. Then Ric asked the real question: was this actually something real between them, or was Justine using the growing closeness to gather evidence and bring him down?

Two people. Two confidants. Two sets of instructions to weaponize the relationship. And neither one of them knows that the other side just got the same playbook.

Sonny Rented Out a Hatchet Range for Their Dinner and Thinks Nobody Noticed

Here is what Sonny did not tell Ric directly. When Ric asked if Sonny had crossed a line before, Sonny flashed back to the night he rented out the entire hatchet range for a private dinner with Justine. He did not volunteer that information. He did not say the words out loud. He answered with “I’m only telling you this because you’re my lawyer,” which is Sonny-speak for “there is more and you are not getting it.” Sonny Corinthos does not rent out venues for women he is running a game on. He does not make private dinner arrangements for marks. He does that for women he is falling for. And Ric knows it. That is exactly why Ric looked worried.

The problem is that Sonny also told Ric that Justine was ambitious but not corrupt. He believes she is a good person. He believes the kiss was mutual. And he is probably right about both of those things, which makes this entire situation infinitely more dangerous. Because Justine is not corrupt. She told Jordan she would not hesitate to prosecute Sonny if she had the evidence. She knows where the line is. But Jordan told her to walk right up to that line and use it.

They Are Both Going to Catch Real Feelings and It Is Going to Destroy Both of Them

Here is the wild speculation. Sonny is not playing Justine. Justine is not playing Sonny. They are two people who are genuinely attracted to each other, being pushed by the people around them to turn that attraction into a weapon. Jordan wants Justine to use Sonny’s vulnerability to build a case. Ric wants Sonny to be careful in case Justine is the one building a case. Both advisors assume the worst about the other side, and both Sonny and Justine are sitting in the middle trying to figure out if what they felt during that kiss was real.

It was. And that is exactly why this is going to blow up. Because Sonny Corinthos cannot date the Acting D.A. of Port Charles without it compromising every case her office touches. And Justine Turner cannot fall for one of the biggest crime bosses on the Eastern seaboard without torching her career, her credibility, and her reputation. Jordan already warned her about this. Ric already warned Sonny about this. And neither one of them is going to listen.

This Ends With Someone Getting Their Heart Broken and Their Career Destroyed

The spoilers this week say Sonny confides in Ric about a private matter on Tuesday. That conversation is going to determine whether Sonny keeps pursuing Justine or pulls back. But here is the thing about Sonny Corinthos. He has never once in his life pulled back from a woman he wanted. Not when it was dangerous. Not when it was inconvenient. Not when everyone around him begged him to stop. Sonny follows his heart straight into the fire every single time, and this is going to be no different.

Justine, meanwhile, has Jordan in her ear telling her to play the game. But Justine already admitted that Sonny’s concern did not feel like it had an ulterior motive. She already asked Jordan if that made her foolish. That is not a woman running a con. That is a woman trying to talk herself out of falling for a man she knows she should not want.

When these two finally stop pretending and admit what is happening between them, one of them is going to lose everything. The only question is which one.
