So when Sonny rented out the entire hatchet range to have a private dinner with the acting DA back in February, every single person watching the show knew exactly what was happening. Every person except Justine, who was apparently going to be the exception. She was going to be different. She was going to be the woman who could fall for Sonny Corinthos and still send him to prison if it came to it.

She kissed him. She slapped him. She slept with him. She told Alexis Davis she had done something incredibly stupid and unprofessional. Three weeks ago, on her way out of his penthouse, he handed her the key. She took it.

Justine has spent the last six weeks telling everyone in town there will be no evidence connecting Sonny to anything. No evidence he was involved in Marco Rios‘ murder. No evidence he had anything to do with Jordan Ashford‘s car accident. No current case her office can even prosecute. None of which is the point.

The point is that the chief law enforcement officer for Port Charles is currently maintaining a sexual relationship with the man whose case file in her office is thicker than the New York City phone book. The point is that she has a key to his apartment. The point is that the next time a witness against Sonny goes missing, the next time evidence disappears, the next time the PCPD lands on a suspect Sonny wants protected, every instinct she trained her entire career to follow will go quiet the second he asks.

The Case For Justine, Where We Go Hardest

Here is where SOM is going to say the part nobody else is saying out loud. Justine Turner did not invent this. She did not seduce a mob boss in his own kitchen. Sonny rented out the hatchet range. Sonny showed up at her office. Sonny walked the line for weeks until he found the moment she could not say no. Sonny is doing exactly what he has done to every accomplished woman in his life. He is not the helpless party here.

What Justine did was open her door once. What Sonny did was slide a wedge under it.

Jordan tried to warn her. Alexis tried to warn her. The legal community of Port Charles has collectively raised both hands and said, with one voice, ma’am, please. Justine heard them. Justine knew. Either way, she will be the woman whose career ended on his timeline.

Sonny will go home and pour a drink. Justine will pack up her office. She will be disbarred. She will be prosecuted. She will be sentenced. She will do the time. And somewhere, in a federal facility, the woman who tried to be the one DA who could outsmart Sonny Corinthos will join the long list of women who paid the price for thinking they were special.

We are not taking questions. Sonny Corinthos will walk free. Justine Turner will take the fall. Port Charles needs to write that down.
