Steve Burton’s break from General Hospital is coming soon, Riza Thompson is back on Y&R, and Rachel Black’s verdict drops on DAYS this week.

STEVE BURTON IS STEPPING AWAY FROM PORT CHARLES AND THE TIMING COULD NOT BE MORE LOADED
TL;DR: Steve Burton’s break from General Hospital is approaching fast with Jason Morgan set to leave the canvas in the coming weeks and return this summer, Tina Casciani is back on The Young and the Restless as Riza Thompson just in time for the Vegas showdown, Naomi Matsuda returns as Li Finnegan on The Bold and the Beautiful, Days of Our Lives is handing down Rachel Black’s verdict, and Beyond the Gates is bringing in a construction foreman who is about to ruin Leslie Thomas’ entire week.
General Hospital: Steve Burton’s Break Is Coming and Port Charles Is Not Ready
The biggest news heading into this week is not an arrival but a departure on the horizon. Steve Burton‘s break from General Hospital is approaching, with Jason Morgan set to leave the canvas in the coming weeks before returning this summer. Given that Jason is currently sitting on a WSB warrant, Britt is on the run with one vial of medication, Marco has a knife wielding Cullum standing in his office, and Rocco just overheard the entire pier handoff from the shadows, the timing of this exit could not be more loaded. However Jason Morgan leaves Port Charles, it is not going to be quietly.
Also back this week is Parry Shen as Brad Cooper, continuing to worry about Britt and Lucas’ safety. Brad already went to Lucas and begged him to come through for his best friend, and with Britt’s situation deteriorating by the hour, expect Brad to stay in the mix.
Steve Burton is stepping away from Port Charles and we want to know how you think Jason Morgan’s exit will play out. Send your wildest theories to [email protected] and we just might publish them!
The Young and the Restless: Riza Thompson Is Back and Legacy Characters Are Stepping In
Tina Casciani is back on The Young and the Restless as Riza Thompson, a role she originally debuted in May of 2019. Watch for her starting Monday, March 23, as she surfaces during the Vegas scenes when Adam, Nick, and Sienna try to hunt down Matt Clark. The last time we saw Riza, Adam greeted her with a gun in his face, so this reunion is not going to be a friendly one.
Lauralee Bell resurfaces as Christine Blair on Monday, March 23, when the Genoa City lawyer strategizes with Sharon and Mariah. Michael Damian is also back as Danny Romalotti, airing Tuesday, March 24, sharing scenes with Christine and his TV son, Michael Graziadei‘s Daniel.
Genoa City is still waiting on the big ones. Shemar Moore is coming back as Malcolm Winters and Vivica A. Fox is returning alongside him as Dr. Stephanie Simmons. No air date confirmed yet but the anticipation is building by the day. Christel Khalil is also on her way back as Lily Winters. When she walks through that door, Genoa City is going to feel it.
Days of Our Lives: A Verdict, a Farewell, and an Exit
Lorelei Olivia Mote gets prominent airtime this week as Rachel Black, with her character preparing to face the consequences of shooting EJ DiMera. Mote shares scenes with her TV dad, Eric Martsolf‘s Brady, on Tuesday, March 24. She airs opposite her TV mom, Stacy Haiduk‘s Kristen, on Wednesday, March 25, and is back to hear the judge’s ruling on Friday, March 27. Brady and Kristen’s daughter has a big week ahead.
Karole Foreman resurfaces as Judge Dabney, presiding over Rachel’s hearing on Thursday, March 26 and Friday, March 27. Tina Huang clocks back in as Melinda Trask, interacting with Martha Madison‘s Belle and Judge Dabney on Thursday.
After ten months in Salem, Marissa Reyes makes her final appearance as Ari Horton on Wednesday, March 25. Reyes debuted as Will and Gabi’s daughter in May of 2025. The role has been recast, so Ari is not leaving Salem, but Reyes is leaving the part. Ten months of work deserves a proper thank you.
On the exit front, Wes Ramsey has wrapped up his run as Owen Kent, the man stalking Stephanie Johnson. He initially appeared on the soap back in 2009 before resurrecting the character last February. Owen’s chapter is closed.
The Bold and the Beautiful: Li Finnegan Returns and Two Fan Favorites Head Home
After a couple of months off the canvas, Naomi Matsuda returns as Li Finnegan on Thursday, March 26. She made her last appearance in January, and Finn’s mother walking back into the picture always comes with complications. Welcome back, Dr. Li.
On the exit front, Morgan Fairchild wrapped up her visit as Dottie. After attending the launch of Logan fashion house, the San Francisco socialite headed home. Jim J. Bullock also departed as Joseph. Where Dottie goes, Joseph follows, and that includes the exit door.
Beyond the Gates: A Construction Foreman Named Frank Is About to Make Leslie’s Life Harder
Steven Strickland has been cast on Beyond the Gates as Frank, the man in charge of the construction on Leslie Thomas‘ house. He tells her the project is being shut down, which puts Leslie directly at odds with Vernon Dupree. Leslie Thomas does not take bad news well, and a man named Frank standing between her and her renovation is going to learn that the hard way.
Shaquita Smith continues on the canvas as wedding planner Bijou, keeping the Chelsea and Madison wedding drama moving forward in Fairmont Crest.
