GH SPOILERS SEPTEMBER 3: IS WILLOW TAIT THE SHOOTER AFTER ELIZABETH’S HOSPITAL CONFRONTATION?

TL;DR: On September 3’rds General Hospital, Drew Cain gets shot in the back after Elizabeth Webber confronts Willow Tait about her suspicious disappearance from her hospital shift when Judge Heran’s body was discovered.

OH. MY. GOD. Port Charles is about to EXPLODE! Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) has gone from desperate mother to prime suspect in what’s shaping up to be the biggest whodunnit of the year! And Elizabeth Webber (Rebecca Herbst)? She knows something’s seriously wrong with our traumatized nurse!

What Happened Between Elizabeth and Willow at the Hospital?

Elizabeth confronted Willow about abandoning her nursing shift right when Judge Heran’s body was floating in the Port Charles harbor.

Talk about TERRIBLE timing! Or was it? Elizabeth pleaded with Willow to see how Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) has been manipulating her, but get this — Willow actually DEFENDED him! She literally said “Drew has power he reached across an ocean to help me isn’t that great?”

Girl, that’s not help, that’s STALKING!

The way Willow disappeared from her shift just as the judge presiding over her custody case turns up dead? The timing is WAY too suspicious to be coincidence. Elizabeth — who’s survived her own trauma and knows a victim when she sees one — immediately recognized the signs of someone being controlled.

Is Willow Really Going to Shoot Drew?

It’s unclear if Willow is the actual shooter, but she’s definitely the prime suspect when Drew gets shot in the back on Tuesday.

Here’s where things get WILD! We know from spoilers that Elizabeth will “advocate for Willow” after the shooting happens. Now why would our head nurse defend someone if she thought they were guilty? Elizabeth has always been the moral compass of General Hospital — if she’s defending Willow, that’s the writers’ way of telling us to look elsewhere!

But let’s be real for a second…

Willow has EVERY reason to snap. This woman lost her kids, survived cancer, escaped a cult, and now she’s being manipulated by a congressman who literally got restraining orders against children! If she DID pull that trigger, would anyone really blame her?

Who Else Could Be Drew’s Shooter?

The list of Drew‘s enemies is longer than a CVS receipt at this point!

Think about it — he’s betrayed Curtis Ashford, slept with Nina Reeves while pursuing her daughter, blackmailed Dr. Portia Robinson, emotionally abused little Wiley, and launched a bogus fraud investigation into Stella Henry. The man has systematically turned the entire town against him!

Michael Corinthos is going to be “dismayed” on Tuesday and gets “new intel” on Friday. Carly Spencer “issues a warning” the same day Drew gets shot. And Nina? She’s making a “risky move” on Thursday.

Any one of them could be our shooter!

What’s Next for Willow and Drew?

Don’t be surprised if Willow ends up being the perfect red herring here. Given her history as a cult victim and her current “empty shell” state (her own heartbreaking words!), she’s either being set up to take the fall OR she’s finally snapped completely.

Could this mean Willow killed Judge Heran trying to “help” Drew? Maybe she thought eliminating the corrupt judge would fix everything?

Reading between the lines, this has all the makings of Drew using Willow as a pawn one last time. If he survives (and let’s face it, this is a soap, so he probably will), don’t be shocked if he wakes up and immediately blames Michael just to torture Willow even more!

My gut tells me Elizabeth‘s advocacy is going to be CRUCIAL. She sees through the manipulation. She knows Willow‘s a victim, not a villain.
